jose. two women leading police on a chase and now one of them is dead. the other is behind bars. good evening. i'm andre senior. >> in just the past hour we have learned new details from san jose police about this morning's officer-involved shooting. it all started just after 2:00 this morning. >> police say they responded to reports of shots fired and when they arrived they found two people with gunshots wounds. they spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle leaving the shooting scene. officers tried to stop the car which was record stolen but the driver didn't stop. police chased the car through city streets onto the freeway and back on city streets until eventually the driver lost control and crashed into a fence on leigh avenue at fruitvale avenue. the driver then drove at officers and rammed a patrol vehicle which is when four officers opened fire. the driver and passenger were both struck by gunfire. the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. her identity not released yet. the passenger has been taken to jail. no names have been released. no officers were injured. >>> pol
