a very popular park in san jose. alum rock park is closed because of the weather and some of the things that vianey mentioned are the factors that go into determining whether the park is open or not. relatively speaking, the humidity at 20% or lower, the temperature 95 degrees or higher, and the wind being at about ten miles an hour or stronger. those are all some of the criteria used to close the park. and so we saw a steady stream of people coming to the park. it's interesting at alum rock park, there's an outer gate and there's an inner gate. and we kept seeing people, even though there's posted as warning that the park is closed. we saw so many people going past the first gate, maybe hoping for the best that maybe they're wrong and maybe the park would be open. so we saw a lot of people going into the park, turning around and coming back out. one park ranger, though, did tell me that they did catch one person today trying to get past that second gate. he did get past the second gate. he was caught pretty quickly
