csu, east bay, cal maritime, that's in vallejo, san jose state, and here at san francisco state. this strike across the state. the california faculty association announced this strike beginning tomorrow due to stalled negotiations with the california state university system. the cfa, which is made up of 29,000 professors, lecturers, coaches and librarians, says it's looking for a 12% wage increase, reasonable workload requirements and broader access to facilities . csu leaders have said all campuses will remain open and they have continued plans in place to maintain operations and hopefully minimize disruptions to students, csu has said the system is facing a $1.5 billion budget gap, but at cfa, organizers say with an increase in tuition, the system has more than enough money to pay for faculty salary increases. now about 1100 trade workers were also planning to strike, starting tomorrow, but they did reach a tentative agreement with the csu system, so they will not be striking tomorrow. it will just be those faculty members live at san francisco state. amanda quintana, ktvu, fox
