joseph gisy, founder and ceo strategy marketplace. now, joseph, it is been a good day for apple, amazon and tesla. so what is fueling the return of these tech stocks right now? both there, i think it could be a few different things right now. i mean, 1st and foremost, most of the volume left check and went over to the value and went into some of the industries that we were supposed to see for growth coming out of the hand. demik. so a lot of that volume left and i think now they're starting to see come back, especially since some of that conductor shorter that we had early in the year. a lot of it was found to be the ways round out. or they found different way to, to get the semi conductors that they need. the 2nd thing that could be few on it. we had a lot of people miss out really on the tech market in the tech boom when kobe hit. so there's this fear missing out if kobe may come back again, and the only reason they have that here is because in asia right now, or they're hearing about this other variance attending with, with cobra. and especially in asia, that could be another reason why they're wanting to get back into tech. so we just saw it leave, you know, the travel industry and, and the retail industry and move right back at a test just from these, the last bullet points. and i know there is a lot of concern when you're looking at everything that is happening all around the world, especially when it comes to those new covariance and how they're having an impact on possible locked down. now we're expecting everything from earnings reports to job reports to federal reserve, minutes, all within the next week. and it seems like the stock market has relied mainly on those a low interest rates, even as prices are increasing all around. so why do you think we're not seeing more action and is that likely to change in the near future? yeah, you know that it's really funny every time the federal market committee gets together and they, they come out with some type of announcement. it seems like the market react that day in a day or 2 later. everything bounces right back. but what's really, we're just doing this unprecedented time in our economy in our markets and everything that's going on. i mean, you have, we are growing, i mean, the market is up for the year, but it wasn't growing nearly as fast as what people predicted coming out of the pandemic. but then we have the lingering issues, like we just talked about with cobit in asia and, and possibly a very coming out. you also have all the stimulus money that was printed and a lot of that have been spent by this point. we still have this trillion trillion dollars with us bad, or the government did print. we also have this looming inflation, you know, threat that people are worried about. so you have all these variables that are going to play right now, and i think keeps having to investors on edge from going all and in different segments. the market. yeah, certainly seems that way. now of course, we can't talk about this year without talking about the mean stocks. and as we saw after red it users cost hedge funds over $12000000000.00 and losses. well, now reports are saying that hedge funds are finding back by paying more attention to which stocks the internet is favoring. do you think that that will be enough? and are we likely to see a repeat of the game? stop saga anytime soon? i love the little guy beating up on the big guy just as much as everyone else does . could it happen again? absolutely. you know what has happened with the me, stocks and wall street mads. yeah. and the rest of users is that they manage to band together. and when you have enough volume and you have enough momentum and money behind you and your flow in the market a certain way. as it's proved, you can definitely, you know, do a little damage and there we go. and after some hedge fund, now the hedge fund managers are smart about this. this is why they now hire people to scary the internet and, and make sure that they can see what's trending to try to stay on top of that. but we do have to realize right now those, those big hedge funds are the big institutional investors. they really do have this thing down packed so it's going to be tough for the david and goliath story to continue, but it will continue throughout the future. for sure. yeah. what a job that would be to get to just re read it threads all day long. and to try to see what all the internet users are talking about and scheming, and all of that. now i want to touch on one thing that you mentioned earlier, which is that when it comes to this dark market, we keep seeing record high after record high. and some sect experts are now warning that investors are expecting too much when it comes to returns. do you think that investors are taking that into consideration and what happens at this trend actually comes to an end anytime soon? no, they're not. they don't take that into consideration. i mean, as investors, you know, when you get into the market, you're expecting that to grow. you've heard over and over again that the s and p, since the inception has grown 10 percent. now you do have to remember that's an average. and so most people have that in their mind that they're always going to grow 10 percent. but in the reality of it is that the markets are cyclical and we're going to hit bare markets cope. it was not the beer market that we've been waiting for. we're waiting for the cycle to happen, where we do started in a period of bad years and that could be one year that could be 3 years. it could even be a last decade which we've had in the past. investors are not typically prepared for that. what i tell our investors and people that work with us, i say look, you have to get into something that's more tactical and you have to get into something that isn't necessarily buying holes. you gotta change it up a little bit. use some of those, all the rhythms that are awesome out there that the hedge fund guys, and some of the wall street best guys are using now get into something like that to help you win this. this bear market that we all know is coming is eventually going to happen. certainly seems to be the case. excellent points to consider here. joseph jesse, thank you for your time. johnson and johnson has agreed to a multi $1000000.00 settlement with the state of new york. the announcement coming just days before a trial against several companies, including j and j, was set to begin this week. that trial blames those companies for fueling the opioid crisis across the country. archie is trinity chavez has the latest from new york. pharmaceutical giant johnson and johnson has agreed to pay a $230000000.00 pay out to the state of new york, settling claims that fueled and opioid addiction crisis still, though the company admits no liability or wrong doing as a part of the settlement. the company will start processing opioid related claims and begin allocating payments to victims and their families. new york state attorney general lateesha james saying in a statement the epa demick has wreaked havoc on countless communities across new york state and the rest of the nation, leaving millions still addicted to dangerous and deadly opioids
joseph gisy, founder and ceo strategy marketplace. now, joseph, it is been a good day for apple, amazon and tesla. so what is fueling the return of these tech stocks right now? both there, i think it could be a few different things right now. i mean, 1st and foremost, most of the volume left check and went over to the value and went into some of the industries that we were supposed to see for growth coming out of the hand. demik. so a lot of that volume left and i think now they're starting to...

joseph qsi. he's a founder and ceo of strategy marketplace. joseph, i want to start with the airline industry as you just heard what i had to say about all of this. as travel rules have actually loosened in recent month, we have seen some of the big names like delta american and united trend upward, but still well off where they were prepared. demik the only outlier there is southwest, which is actually returned to prepare medic level. what do we need to know about the current state of airline stocks? hey, brent. great to be back. but you know, i've actually just got back from a little business trip down in orlando. and i have to tell you, you know, it doesn't feel like we are, you know, panoramic levels or that we're still like everything back to normal. i mean, dizzy world seemed like it was pretty busy. we were in the hotel that was pretty packed. you know, we went to restaurants and although there about 80 percent capacity, there were long lines and weights there. and i am traveling today when i was taking some connections. it looked worse than ever because everything was completely, you know, tied up and people or wherever you are. but although look that way, you know, there are as many seats, or there's not as many planes a year, which is why some of the traveling hasn't come all the way back to pre kind of demick level. now. so even though it's stock is that 27 percent year today, and they just order more $737.00. boeing just you know, they're still not hitting the revenue in the profits. they were expected to hit their about 20 percent of their expectations. they were expected to head about 20 to 25 percent down, so they're doing pretty good there. but the airline industry, in general, they're seeing that people are wanting to travel and people are paying for the premium sees, or they're paying for upgrades. and that's going to help them in the margins for why these airline stocks. so when things open up all the way and when we do get some travel back, i do still expect to see some that the airline stop to grow and cruise lines. actually, they're in the same boat here, and i apologize about that pon, actually facing a tougher road as they were entirely shut down at the height of the pandemic. although now carnival has announced that it was gonna start wages out of the us ports starting in july. what's the outlook for cruise stocks in the near future? you know, it's really funny about carnival as they announce they're going to start, like you said in july, but one of their child to that is that they want everybody on that comes to their cruise to provide proof of a vaccine. and if you heard it in a news in texas, governor greg abbott, he actually signed a law prohibiting businesses from requiring paperwork or mandating that they show vaccine. so it will be really interesting that if the cruise lines can continue to do this, that could hurt their numbers a little bit because there might be people who are just not willing to show the information or on the right. the people who are fascinated and they simply won't go on a cruise, but a couple other lines are adding extra crew ships to help for a demand. so even on the, the cruise industry may not take off and that's a bad time from the airline industry. but they will still continue to see some growth coming in the summer time and hotel. they've actually been pretty resilient, more so than cruises and airlines with a lot of those big names like mary windham, and health and actually trading it pre pandemic level. quickly got a 32nd. what's, why has this been the quickest sector to rebound? well, there's been the whole state cation or people that were able to drive to health. and windham, mary, at hyatt, and hilton. they have the largest change in the us with a lot of the largest point system. so people are using the reward. they're going to places that are really local. and that's why the hotel changed a bit really been able to weather some of the storm. joseph gives, he's the founder and ceo and strategy marketplace. thank you so much for your insight today. hey, brace. thank you. and finally, the next big f t is part of doze history. auction site zora is selling the mean behind crypto currency. don't coin. zora says it is the original image of the she but you knew named caboose, so which was taken back in february of 2010. now, after the owner posted pictures on her blog years ago, the dog became a mean icon, as it has been shared countless times. now, according to nbc procedure, going to go towards a number of charities as of the time of broadcast, right? this moment, the reserve price for the n f t is about 20 a theory, but we will have to wait to see the final price. and if you are able to bid for this image, this is just one of many featuring the original dose. and that's it for this time you can catch boom bus on demand on portable tv available on smartphones and tablets, through the google play and apple app store by searching portab

joseph out of tallahassee, florida, says the court is too liberal right now. why do you say that, joseph? >> caller: well, first of all, no matter where the supreme court votes, not everybody's going to be happy with it. in other words, if they say we're going to vote for this, people don't like that, will say, no, no, no, they're no good. this has always been a problem, all the way back from when the supreme court voted to take prayer and bible out of the schools. and for just the fact that let one person override everybody else in the country. i think one of the problems that i'm seeing with it is that either the supreme court decisions that they have to make or the congress has to make, they have to put these issues before they vote on a ballot to the american public, and that's the public vote so they can go ahead and know where the people stand. but if it's not going to be done that way no matter who was on the supreme court, no matter what the issues are, there will still be problems. from what i understand, when i learned it in school, it was a very simple truth, that our elected officials represented the american public. that is not true today. and i don't know if it was ever true. so personally, i just think that with voting, everybody's talking about the election and everything. i think the country's got to get back to one system to vote. and at the same time, if people can't get there, it should be a national holiday where people can go, get off from work and go. >> so joseph, a question on that issue. hr 1, or s 1, the for the people act that got so much attention, especially in light of joe manchin on sunday saying that he would not support it, seeks to set federal standards or minimum standards for voting issues in this country, for access to polls, for early voting timing, a minimal standard that states can then go above if they want to. do you think that's a good idea for there to be federal minimal standards that states have to live up to on some of these issues? >> well, this is where the conflict comes. like, even the questions that you ask, there are three different ways to call in, and that's opinion. i can give an opinion today on one thing and it changes next week. but if there was a major issue like shall we have more people on the supreme court, that needs to go to the public. and that's how i really feel about it. until we go ahead and allow the people to really be the voice of the people, there will never be a clean, clear, objective way of

joseph hooker, they are named after the hook district in new york. but a lot of people like to talk about joseph poker liking ladies of the evening and stuff like that. but joe hooker does have a drinking habit. he's also a very boisterous man. he's going to make wild claims throughout his career. he will make a lot of enemies. he will make a lot of fans as well. abraham lincoln for a while it was a fan of joe hooker. he liked what he saw in joe hooker. unfortunately, joe hooker will be his own undoing, like many folks of his ilk. but booker was described in january of 1863 by charles francis adams, he's not from the spooky family, he's from the family who has a lot of political ties in the united states. he will describe booker as, in a way and in no degree does he represent the typical soldier of the commonwealth of massachusetts. chanting to be born in massachusetts, he was in 1861 and from that time forward a little better than a drunken west point military adventure. he was altogether devoid of character, insubordinate and intriguing. it is true that after superseding burnside, he did some effective work towards organizing the army of the potomac. nevertheless, that was a period in history where so far as character as concerned, the army of the potomac sank to its lowest point. it was commanded by a trio of each of whom the least said the better. it consisted of joe hooker, dan sickles, who is the union army third corps commander and butterfield. all of these men were a blemish character. during the winter of 1862 to 1863 when hooker was in command, headquarters of the army of the potomac was in place to which no self respecting men would like to go and know decent women could go. it was the combination of a bar room and brothel. he went on to say, sickles, butterfield and booker or the disdain and bane of this army. they are three humbugs and demagogues. so he does not like them. that's pretty clear. so what we see in hooker is we are seeing all of the poor traits that some people are seeing. they are saying he can be a braggart, a liar, a drinker, and he likes to party. but when joe hooker takes over the union army, he's going to bring a sense of respect with himself and he's going to bring a sense of morale that is desperately needed. he is going to come in here with a swagger that the army of the potomac had lost since they had lost their fabled commander that they loved, george mcclelland. mcclelland is not a great battlefield leader, but he did organize a fantastic army. and booker is going to come in and, after fredericksburg at a point called the valley forge stage, he is going to reinstall or we instill a sense of honor within these men, with a duty and a sense of self confidence. poker will rebuild the army to be about 135,000 men strong. he is going to build a core by implementing what we call core identification or core patches. he is going to make sure that everyone can tell everyone else apart on the battlefield. most everyone is wearing blue so it is tough to tell who is fighting with who. so he will come up with these different symbols. a red circle for the first division or first corps. a red tree foil for the first division second corps. so on and so forth, and these men will take the symbols and they will love them for the rest of their lives. veterans will carve things into their homes with their old corps symbol of, all the way up to their death. you will see that at joshua lawrence chamberlain's house if you head up to maine. these men are very proud of those corps patches. he will resupply the army, he will refit them, he will start sending men home on leave. he is going to oust troublemaking generals, ironically being a troublemaker himself, but he will send troublemakers out of the army. by april of 1863, this army has a new swagger, a swagger that it has not had since it was within about eight miles of richmond in june of 1862, when the war was turned on its ear by a ghanem -- guy named robert e. lee. so joe hooker will command seven infantry corps and one cavalry corps. a corps is simply a little army. you will have infantry with artillery as well as sometimes cavalry with it. but what's booker is going to do is take all of that cavalry and put it into one wing of about 12,000 men strong under brigadier general george stoneman. then he will have his seventh infantry corps. first court is under john reynolds, the overrated john reynolds who seems to fall asleep at key moments. you will have couch who will be the second command of the army of the potomac at chancellorsville. at the height of the crisis he turns fairly callow. sickles, i think dances is a very interesting character. i describe him to most people on tories as if ted kennedy and bill clinton had a child, it would be him. then we have george mead, who's the finest combat officer in the army of the potomac at this point. he is one of the junior most leading core commanders. john sedgewick, who is a carry over of the mcclelland days and is just as slow as george mcclelland. [inaudible] howard, who is just named [inaudible] howard. that can say it all. he's probably the most inept cork manner of everyone you are seeing here and that includes dan cycles. then you have henry slow come would even bore dry wall. but he's a pretty brilliant man, but not a very daring commander. so joe hooker is going to bring a list of characters to fight stonewall jackson, robert e. lee and jeb stewart. three of the most audacious officers to fight in the american civil war. he's not exactly bringing what i'm would call a 18 tibet. he does have men who are experienced in their respective roles, some are inexperienced in their respective roles like oliver howard and dan cycles. george mead, has a little bit of experience. john sedgewick, this is his first time commanding a core. then he will be given a wing of the army, about 60,000 men. so we have a lot of new guys coming in to take on a veteran army that is commanded by robert e. lee. lee at this time is 55 years old, he is a west point graduate of 1829. he came in second in that class only behind a guy called charles mason who serves in the army when you're and leaves. there's some more useless trivia for you. who was better than lee at west point? a guy called charles mason from new york. robert e. lee is going to be a solid army officer for the next 34 odd years of his career though. he is going to serve in engineering capacity at places like wood becomes fort pulaski. he will serve out west on the mississippi river. he will serve in mexico. he's in fact going to serve on the staff of winfield scott, who we will talk about in a moment. robert e. lee when the civil war starts is going to be a guy who is looked upon in the southern confederacy as a loser. people are going to say, oh my god, how can you say that about robert e. lee? well, that is what a lot of people said about him at the time. lee seems to be a very stoic man. one of his nicknames was the marble model at west point. it was not an endearing nickname. and whenever lee starts commanding troops in the field in western virginia, he does not do a very good job. he is cast aside down to the southeast where he is going to command defenses. and he's going to build defenses, and he's going to have to deal with governors and political generals and personalities. and that does not go well. eventually he is shipped to richmond and confederate president jefferson davis says, i know this guy has a place. i know he's really good at what he does. so what can we do with him? he makes him a special military advisor and then whenever joseph johnston is wounded three times at the battle of fair oaks in june of 1862, robert e. lee will be given command of what he dubs the army of northern virginia. from that point forward, that is the lead we know today, or that most people know today. he is known as audacity personified. he is a man who will take people by the horns. but before that he was granny lee. he was the king of spades. he was a man who even some soldiers said i don't know about this robert e. lee guy, but i don't think he's going to be any better than james longstreet or joe johnston, two of the more prominent officers when league takes over. he was disappointing. jeb stewart says that in his own writings, i'm disappointed by robert e. lee. but he will turn the war on its ear. robert easily has an army that has been riding high. really at this point he's won the seven days battles. he's gone on to win the second manassas campaign. he will go to antietam where it's essentially a drop for him. now he's going to com
