josh levs is here again. josh, nasa has something new within its reach.ch, you think, this is the end. not so? >> no, nasa's trying to argue, it's not, this is really just the beginning. by the way, a beautiful launch yesterday. it was just so spectacular to see that. but there's something that's coming up. when the head of nasa talks about what's coming up and tries to argue that the u.s. will stay at the forefront of space exploration, just the other day, this was the first thing he pointed to. take a look at this. this is actual video, this is not animation, this is an asteroid called vesta and in just a matter of days, july 16th, a u.s. spacecraft "the dawn," will be arriving at its orbit around this asteroid. what's so cool about this, it's the only asteroid you can see in the night sky, because it emitted so much light, reflects so much light. and especially like now, but a little bit more in august, you'll be able to see a great deal of it. and there's also an animation i can show you in this next video. we'll be getting images, and this will help

josh levs is here to look at the future. >> nasa doesn't think this is the end. a lot of plans, they're actually saying it's not tend of manned space flight either. take a look at these pictures. i'm going to give you nasa's words. they're calling this the flagship of their next generation space fleet pushing the envelope of space flight beyond the scope of the earth's orbit. i would could take four astronauts on 21-day missions. so they're saying they're still working on u.s. ways to put people in space. they're also working on new technology to get people out to mars. nasa says it's committed to staying in the lead of exploring space. take a look at this video. >> we're investing in a broad portfolio of technology. some of those technologies are risky, some of them may pan out, other also not. but in the end, we'll have the technological capabilities to fill in places and to explore both with robots and humans that we can't do today. >> you heard them there say humans and robots. that's another things that they're working on, they're calling them robonauts. rig
