cnn's josh campbell is live along that border in del rio joining me now. the ground there today? >> reporter: we're getting inside access to the so-called barrier of steel. as we go up to our drone camera here, you can see hundreds of state trooper vehicles that are aligned along the texas-mexico border. this is not far from that migrant camp. this is because texas governor greg abbott says that he will be bringing in reinforcements, we're already seeing them here, lines and lines of state troopers here along this border of the that's because cnn has reported there are up to 30,000 additional haitian migrants that are in columbia that are possibly preparing to travel here to the southern border. i asked the governor about that yesterday when he was here at the border. he said he will be bringing in all the resources, coming in full force in order to try and ensure that they don't see another wave of migrants like we've seen here recently. we zoom in on that migrant camp, you can see there are still several thousand migrants under this bridge, approximately

cnn correspondent josh campbell is live in del rio, texas, so what more do we know about the efforts >> reporter: good morning to you. live aerial images, this is over this migrant camp, we're told 8,000 people are still there under that bridge awaiting processing. as you mentioned our colleagues from cnn reporting that it appears as though officials here in the u.s. government have been releasing some migrants into the united states. this stands in stark contrast to the hard-line verbiage we heard from the biden administration they would be quickly expelled from the country. and the reason for that is it is important to point out that the word processing, that entails actually determining whether someone has a lawful purpose to stay in the united states. if they claim asylum, officials will try to investigate that claim, to determine whether it is righteous if they determine that this person does face a threat if they go back to their country of origin, they will be issued a summons to appear before an immigration judge in the u.s. and so that is some of the reliease we have seen. st

let's bring in cnn security correspondent josh campbell along with phil mudd who worked in intelligenceor the fbi and cia. let's start with this rise in violent rhetoric around the rally. what are lawmakers officials hearing? >> this is coming from that memo reviewed by our colleague from the capitol police, and what they are looking at is a lot of online chatter by some of these extremists and these forums that are popular and what they are concerned about is that we know that the rally itself on the 18th is billed as justice for these defendants, the insurrectionists, but they are concerned that there's also a group of people that are seeking retribution for the one insurrectionist who was shot and killed by a capitol police officer and so that's what's concerning. it's -- one thing to say we're going to show up and say these people are being unfairly prosecuted, but if you have people coming and seeking retribution for someone's death that could lead to violence and that's why we're seeing them take these precautions. it will be all hands on deck for the capitol police and metro poli
