let's turn now to josh gatlin, who is in dubai, near the scene, the sun of country singer larry gatlin. josh, you're near the scene. what can you tell us? >> well, kind of difficult to describe when out of one eye i can see the building burn how long one side and then fireworks on the other. obviously a mix of emotion. hearing your reporting while i'm listening on the phone and trying to get the numbers and there are no fatilities. that is amazing to me if that is in fact true. based on what i saw, that is an absolute miracle. >> how did you first find out about this and did you simply stand outside and watch was was unfolding? what did you see? >> i was on a terrace overlooking -- looking at actually the address. we had reservations at a restaurant, one of the views, the burj khalifa, and i actual my back to the address, felt the heat on my back from it. basically the building we're in connects to the address at the lower levels, and i felt the heat and within a few seconds i saw 100 people with cell phones come running towards me, and turned around and saw it, and my first thought wa

because actually i need to bring in another guest, josh gatlin, he is an american there in dubai just visiting, he was 200 feet away from the address hotel when the fire broke out. josh, tell us what you saw. just explain to us the scene from the beginning of when you realized there was something wrong. >> well, apparently what we heard a million other people are doing, that's waiting for the fireworks. and actually the only reason why i turned around is i felt the heat on my back, and about that time noticed everybody running to the railing. and turned around and saw, you know, what ya'll are seeing pictures of. and my -- within ten seconds, it went from, wow, that's a fire, to we need to not be where we are and we need to be moving away from that. because it went from, hey, there's a fire, to, yeah, that's significant. in a matter of seconds. >> in a matter of seconds. so you didn't hear anything, you just felt the heat from the fire. you didn't hear any sort of explosion or anything audible -- >> no, ma'am, no, ma'am. >> i just want to -- i know you obviously are familiar with the

with us also is josh gatlin. e we understand you were just 200 feet away from this building when this fire started, which is across the way from the lake from the hotel where the spectacular fireworks are to take place in just about 49 minutes from now. so josh, tell me about your experience. >> as a resident here, my wife and i drove up with another friend of ours. it's the biggest and greatest fireworks show on earth. you hear of the millions of ppeople that are here and the pain that it is to get to and from dubai and we got here and we wanted to see it and it's just words can't describe the feeling. at first i felt it on my back. as soon as you feel the heat, you see iphones start coming out. and it didn't take long. some people sat and watched and some people started videoing it. i grabbed my crew and we left. it went from -- it was certainly a significant fire by the time i saw it, but it went from a significant fire to that entire building is in flames and we need to get a little bit further away from it.
