this story is about a man named joshua kauffman, a web and software developer out of oakland. in mid-march someone stole his macbook from his apartment. little did the thief know that every time he used the macbook he was being watched by kauffman. kauffman installed an app on his macbook that enabled him to track the location, record screen shots and take pictures using the webcam. so kauffman decided to have a little fun with this and started a blog called "this guy has my macbook." and on it he posted pictures of the thief. like the one with the thief asleep on the couch, unbeknownst that it's recording his nice sleeping habits there. there's another one of him shirtless in bed working on a computer with a caption posted by kauffman, i really don't want to know what this guy is doing with my macbook. there's screen shots of him logging on to his google account and deleting kauffman's settings. there's a shot of the guy driving away with it. all of these images taken apparently without the thief's knowledge. well, kauffman says that he did contact oakland police a month ago,
