here to explain why the chief global strategist at jp morgan fund. david, good to see you. >> good to be here. >> why should it fade? a lot of strategists have very optimistic price targets. >> i didn't necessarily say it would fade. the stock market is going to give you a good deal less. we are 30% higher than we were a year ago. i thought more than 10% a year over the next five years. people need to temper those expectations. >> you're looking at europe when a lot of other people are looking at japan? >> i think so. europe's got a solid recovery story. they start out with an unemployment rate of 12%. if it continues to improve a number of years. there is a number of earnings potential growth. and discount to u.s. stocks so i like that story. on japan, i like the japanese story, but there is a lot of risk in here. japan is going to raise the sales tax. maybe they will get into the depreciation, maybe they won't. they are like a cat on their ninth life. so i -- i am basically what optimistic. i don't see as much risk in europe as i do in japan. >> i

in response jp morgan and chase decided to limit the amount people could use your cards. atm withdraws are set to $100 a day and inperson purchases to $300. neilsen, a global payment tracking firm reports that credit and debit card fraud is on the rise. last year over $11 billion were stolen from credit card users worldwide, up 11% from the previous years. despite this growing number. credit card fraud makes up less than 6% of all fraud crime annually. attorneys general from four states, connecticut, massachusetts, new york, and south dakota, are beginning investigations into the target credit card breach. with more than 1700 stores nationwide, the big box retailer saw a backlash during the final days of the busiest shopping season of the year. this weekend target experienced 3% drop in sales compared to this time last year despite the 10% discount offered to all because of the breach. target has said concerned customers can get free credit monitoring assistance from the company. in 2007 the retail giant tj max was hit, and user accounts were compromised. in the end it co

in a switch -- jp morgan chase is on the offense in a lawsuit. the bank is filing a $1 billion suit against the federal deposit insurance corporation. jp morgan claims the fdic failed in its obligations to the bank after chase agreed to take on washington mutual. chase bought troubled washington mutual in 20-08 with an understanding it would be protected from libaility tied to its failure. chase claims in failing to live up to its promises the fdic has made the bank vulnerable to massive liability. a former b-p employee has been convicted of obstruction of justice. a jury found the former engineer deleted text messages from a supervisor and a b-p contractor to avoid a federal probe after the 20-10 oil spill in the gulf of mexico. sentencing will take place in march. the maximum would be 20-years in prision and a quarter million dollar fine. four bp employees have been charged for behavior related to the massive spill. this was the first case from the deadly oil blowout to go to trial. as american's await the call from the fcc on whether it will l

he's chief global strategist at jp morgan funds. hi, david, how close is close besides the jobs report that hampton was just reporting on, the strong gdp number and the strong auto sales, strong home sales, good news on manufacturing, cyber monday. how do you think the fed looks at all this data and could they taper this month? >> yeah, i think they could. i would call it a 50/50 shot if they taper. logically they absolutely should. if the fed is going to be consistent. you go to last june when ben bernanke talked about ending qe, he said they would start later this year and end when the unemployment rate hit 7%. we're at 7% already, and if you go down the list of things the federal reserve has been worried about, including unemployment being too high and problems with the federal government and housing, it calms the fears. the federal reserve ought to begin to reduce bond purchases next week. the only question is we thought that in september and they were too nervous to do it then, they would still be too nervous to do it in decemb
