. >> with me is judith brown, dorian warren, and mickey edwards. did i get that about right, judith? >> yeah, you hit it on the head. you told the story. we're we are in pennsylvania. it will be in the supreme court next week, and we know no evidence of voter fraud, we know who it hits. one group that also it hits are veterans who don't have expiration dates on their ids. >> why wouldn't veterans have ids, but it's because they don't have expiration dates. >> explain that, i want to be clear, i think a lot of viewers may realize you don't just have to have something that shows you you are, but you have to have rules about it. >> that's right, they were crafted for partisan gain by politicians who want to manipulate the laws. they crafted them so they hit the people that they want to suppress the votes of. so the way that most of these laws have been crafted is they're state issues photo id with a current address, no expiration date, so in pennsylvania, over 80% of the colleges and universities did not have an expiration date on their ids, so they're

judith browne-dianis of the advancement project.r of groundswell at auburn seminary. what we heard there is, you know, the presidential candidate, mitt romney saying, there are aspects of obama care that i would keep. there is part of me that wants to cheer that, and say, okay, you passed something very similar in massachusetts is this an example of sort of a bipartisan recognition? or is the virginery fact that h against the thing that he was originally for an indication of how bad partisanship has become? >> i think it's actually two things. one, an attempt to appeal to moderate and swing voters. second being it's an attempt to take away issues from obama as we get closer to debates. he is very vulnerable, that obama care was romney care first. how can he say he wants to repeal something that he's already implemented as on governor of massachusetts. it's both of those. actually a smart of strategy. take away the issue that we're most vulnerable on and appeal to swing voters. >> in our desire to do that, to talk about whether it's

representing one of the organizations that brought the suit, judith ann brown. >> hi, melissa. feel like i will see you a lot. >> they just won't stop, will they? >> bring us up-to-date on what's going on in pennsylvania. >> we have one of the most restrictive voter i.d. laws that requires you have a current photo i.d. issued by the department of motor vehicle. it has to have an expiration date and it has to have your current address. we went into court and unfortunately lost in the lower court challenging that, because we know voting is a fundamental right. it is the blood line of our democracy. we knew that over 1 million people did not have the required i.d. in pennsylvania. so we lost unfortunately in the lower court. here we are before the supreme court. pennsylvania is a place where democracy is on trial and we will have to see and get a decision in the next week or so about this law. >> let me ask you something about how this law ends up showing up in pennsylvania. i want to bring in alec. we talked a little about about this previously. alec is the organization that does
