let's bring in our panel, ed rollins, and judith miller, and adjunct fellow at manhattan institute foresearch and fox news contributor and steven moore is a distinguished fellow visitor at heritage foundation. ed rollins, really? >> no. it's very difficult to put a third party together. certainly we're out of time. i think the two parties have their candidates. donald trump is getting stronger by the day. you see that in polls, you see that in the people coming forward. you obviously had a pretty good dialogue with paul ryan this week. i think the vast majority of members outside the first congressional district are going to be supportive. paul ryan has his agenda which is a little more difficult but donald trump's agenda is more popular. >> ed, i mean, is it -- there are stories about a third party. how damaging is this to the republican party, or do people not pay attention? >> i don't think anybody -- i remind people there are 330 million people in america and 250 million of them live outside of new york and california. and they don't read "the new york times," they don't read the l

. >>> we're back and joining us is ellen ratter in, the bureau chief of talk media news, judith millerssociates. thank you for being with us. >> there's talk, we have heard it for a while now but it is ramping up that conservatives will get together and launch a third party candidacy. others are saying no you will hand the election to hillary. what do you say? >> it's not going to happen. it is the pipe dream of those who would like to see trump stopped. i don't think there is enough organization behind that. i talked to a reporter following this story and they even told me it's kind of winding down. the issue is logistical. you have to in most states run an independent race, apply for the ballot independent in each state and in big ones, like texas, the deadline has passed. it is the stages of grief process. most of them have got on the the final stage acceptance. some have not. i suspect the party will follow suit and we will have a more unified idea of what the party will look like behind trump come cleveland. >> we are hearing able that unity now. reince priebus tweeting out. trump
