joining me now justice reporter julia ainsley, jeff mason, robert costa and msnbc national security analyst and former fbi special agent clint watts. julia, i want to ask you first, both on the immigration and most immediately on the redacted mueller report. any way to gain what we'll see, how much we'll see and we'll talk to jeff about how the white house responds. >> reporter: you have the same questions i do. we know this report is coming tomorrow and it will be fewer than 400 pages. we don't know how much will be redacted. we know there are four categories that allow the attorney general to redact information. he is able to do that by doj policy. it's a matter of how widely he interprets those categories. those ongoing investigations, grand jury material and anything that could endanger the reputation of someone not charged by robert mueller. they will want to redact all of thoeds thi those things. top of line will be how much information we get on obstruction. a lot of people have said that obstruction shouldn't be redacted as much because there are ongoing investigations and don't thi

julia? >> reporter: so, brian, there's something on page 76 i want to flag. let's discuss this because it's not immediately clear what robert mueller is referring to, but i do think that it's something that we should look into. it says when it comes down to the motive for the president had for firing jim comey. it says his motive -- the evidence is not established that he fired comey to cover up a conspiracy between the trump campaign and russia because as they get into in the collusion section of the investigation, there was no evidence of that. but this is very crucial. i'm just going to read this quote. "the evidence does indicate a thorough fbi investigation would uncover facts about the campaign and the president personally. that the president could have understood to be crimes or that would give rise to personal and political concerns." so i'm looking at this thinking, does this mean that although robert mueller ruled out what he said, what he was charged with to investigate which was the collusion between russia and the trump campaign, were there other crimes here that, perhaps, the president was trying to cover up a
