>> allison, the robotic club joined by professor andrea calloway. tell me about the robotic club >> we're a new club on bowie state campus part of the initiation, all students applied math and engineering and computer science majors here to demonstrate a robotic car that senses its environment and if there's anything in the way, any sound, it will execute instructions. >> reporter: that sound well and good, do the students build this from scratch >> yes, they did. they built it, designed it. robots are built to achieve certain missions they use a programming called simple c, we're working with different tech companies in the area, making, forming partnerships so our students can see what it is to be in a technology career >> obviously, lots of applications to this down the road. if you can kind of see yourself doing this. >> several, drones are coming, we're going to use them in our personal lives, not just for commercial use. we have robots in our home, we have the room ba, how can we incorporate robots in our personal lives and ai is a field that's very lucrative guy just act robotic?
