nine on your side's julie o'neill is covering that for us tonight. julie. a report in december said funding for the streetcar could be as much as one - point- four million dollars short of what is needed. the city called that report a "worse case" senario."the agreement announced today is designed to make sure the city system running. under the plan.. the haile foundation would provide 900- thousand dollars in funding as needed by the city. it had the streetcar. this clarifies parts of that agreement. in addition... the city would spend up to an extra 680- thousand dollars the first year.. and 518- thousand dollars the second year. running the streetcar is expected to cost four- point- two million dollars in its first year. city offficals say if streetcar revenue comes in below estimates.. they reserve the right to start cutting costs.. including cuts in service. i asked city manager harry black what services might be cut. well we don't know. it's not a problem right now. the system will begin operating in september and funds have been identified that we be
