utah republican congressman jason said he didn't think juliet pierson, the director was fully open and honest yesterday on capitol hill and so he called for pierson to be fired by president obama or that she resigned. this morning maryland democratic congressman elijah cummings says his confidence and trust in pierson has erode and he doesn't feel comfortable with her as director. house democratic leader nancy pelosi offered this reaction. >> dp mr. cummings thinks that she should go, i subscribe to his recommendation. however, i don't think -- i don't say that he is saying this, that's all that should be done. there has to be an i wanted pent investigation. has to be accountability. >> some of the top lawmakers say firing pierson won't fix bigger issues at the secret service. >> i think, though, it would be premature at this point in time. she came on board after most of these scandals are taking place. i think that's the whole point of this independent review, this independent commission to investigate and review the policies and review her conduct as well, so i would prefer to have
