juliette goodrich, cbs 5. >>> you heard of "snakes on a plane"? how about scorpions. jeff ellis was asleep on an alaska flight june 17 going from seattle to anchorage when he woke up to a tingling sensation in his sleeve. i thought it was a little bug but then realized it was a scorpion. >> i raised my hand up and i was oh, my god that's a scorpion! and a tray table was down so i grabbed a napkin, picked that thing up and just held on to it like a natural reaction to grab it. >> he realized the scorpion had stung his elbow. two doctors on board said he would probably be fine -- probably. all he could do was wait 30 minutes until the plane landed to find out. not exactly clear of course how it get on board but the airline thinks it might have crawled on when the plane was in texas. >>> wow. can you imagine?!
