for craft beer lovers in the metro, there's a new brew to check out near valley junction in west des moines. fox brewing has been open for about six weeks...but they're having a ribbon cutting ceremony in a few minutes to officially kick things off. the founder, brian fox, is from west des moines and says he wanted to bring a brewery to the historic valley junction scene... he started out by brewing beers at home before getting a job at court avenue brewing company to gain more experience. now, with six craft beers of his own, including the october-themed "fox-o-lantern" pumpkin ale, fox says he thinks the craft beer scene in des moines is one to watch.
