also at the grass roots level we have a junior giants program, it's a youth baseball program throughout california. we use baseball as the hook to get kids to come together to learn about teamwork, we have a whole can urriculum that's based on the importance of reading, literacy, education, we have a whole violence prevention can urriculum, we have 22,000 kids playing baseball throughout northern california, junior giants baseball, and we have a number of volunteer coaches and commissioners and one of the things that we ask every year our junior giants players to do is to take the peace pledge. it's basically the pledge is i'm a junior giant, i pledge to strike out violence by, and the first line is prevent bullying and respecting my teammates, coaches, family and friends. so at the peer grass roots level where we have coaches working closely with kids we hope to spread a message, we also have an art contest, imagine peace where we honor kids at a ballgame later in the year just so kids can interpret and show their form of how they interpret anti-bullying and peace in this society. you

high, late junior high, high school, like my daughter is in 10th grade. and she'll be in somebody's face. those kids, they kind of already made up their minds. that's one of the things i got out of that. plus we go to middle school and we'll do a show, we started off by going to what was it kit carson middle school and we did the 7th graders one day and the 8th graders the other day and it was, like, 500 students. we were outnumbered when they are watching you, it's easier to make fun and that's kind of how it went. we love the 5th and 6th graders because they eat it up and they want to talk to us. there's a lot of kids that are not going to do it and there's a bunch of kids that they are going to do it no matter what, but it's those kids in the middle, if we can get it while they're on the fence, i think that's where it's more effective with the 5th and 6th graders. >> this form of outreach for anything else? >> we kind of do in parks and rec. back when i was 19 was parks and rec. as a matter of fact, i wrote that play 15 years ago and it's been sitting

i actually had the honor of working with fred ross junior when i was with the [speaker not understood] campaign. learned a lot from that effort and was able to realize that a lot of the work we did, the techniques we used as union organizers came from his father, fred roth. that contribution is huge was of the work that he did bring science to how we organize. that's actually changed the nation. that's the impact that fred roth senior has had on the world and i just want to all be here in your presence. thank you. pinole police arrested gary fite junior for the crime. he and his accomplice were taken into custody. booked into contra costa county jail. by law, law enforcement and the district attorney have to file charges and arraign suspects within three days of an arrest. otherwise, the suspects have to be released from custody. the pinole police chief says his department filed its report to the da's office on the morning of tuesday march fifth. he says the da's office then called later that day and confirmed charges would be filed. yet still, fite was released from custoday. the contra costa county sheriff's department says it had no other choice than to release him. because quote there were no warrants, authority or other charges against fite that would allow us to continue holding him. the da's office could not be reached for comment. now, julie sohn, with the fbi, says a federal arrest warrant has been issued for fite. charged with armed robbery. law enforcement says fite should be considered armed and dangerous. if you have any information on
