i'm justine waldman. and right now san jose police are searching for the driver who they say hit and killed 2 women and then took off. now, this happened last night around 6.30, in the area of a call avenue open court. that's right. near a middle school and police say the women were crossing the road when they were hit by a red pickup truck. police have just released these images of the suspected vehicle. they say the driver left the scene immediately after the crash and was last seen headed north on capitol expressway. they believe that this red pickup truck would have front end damage. and the 2 women who were run over allegedly by this car were taken to the hospital where they later died. and police did confirm today that those 2 women are related. now, san jose police have reported 26 traffic deaths so far this year, including 7 fatal hit and runs. officers say part of the problem in responding to these incidents is that the department is severely understaffed. >>we need to come together. we need to w
