and one thing in the story about justin herman plaza, the commission vote today take justin herman offa but in the document or the information was that this could be renamed something else at a later date. so they took and actually, commissioner mazzola and anderson were on the commission at the time, so they took the name off but the option was in there, that maybe we will rename this at this point. now i also wanted say that commissioner zwat want more time, but i want people to think that we're shalljerking this responsibility, i believe if we said that we're going to have a name, that we're going to vote on at our february meeting, that might satisfy some of the people on the commission including myself that feel like we need a little more time. >> do i hear a motion? >> can i clarify something. >> yeah. >> i think on the renaming of justin herman, we renamed it embarcadero. >> yeah. >> embarcadero was its prior name. we removed, we removed the commission removed justin herman and it it remains embarcadero plaza today. i think we can have our historian do a little bit of homework f

this is a free concert that u2 did down here in justin herman plaza in san francisco, i went on to dor 300 assignments for rolling stone magazine. joe: blakesberg's photos are a who's who of the bay area's musical masters, but also the places they played. jay: our venues are the warfield and the greek and the bill graham civic and shoreline. this is the counting crows at bimbos 365 in north beach. joe: he not only kept the photos, he kept the stuff. jay: bank money order receipts. here's one that i sent to bill graham in december of 1979. joe: blakesberg shot film until 2008 when he joined the digital world. in a time where everyone now carries a camera in their pocket, that era of film represents a period where photographers suffered for their craft. jay: but you can take a really great picture with any camera. so it's what you have inside you, it's what's in your heart, what's in your mind. female: and that's really all we hope, people do when they come into the gallery is really find a piece of their own story kind of wrapped up in 200 plus images. jay: so this little section here
