k.t. mcfarland to be ambassador to singapore. sure, why not? everybody was kind of in agreement that was a crazy idea under these circumstances and her nomination was enacted upon and everybody thought it was over. they are bringing it back. it's been a weird day of news. do we have that piece? we do. the congress from the stateffai committee. the wife of the chairman of the committee that oversees the state department. now, that's not the end of the world. it's a little weird, right? on a ranking of trump administration norm busting and ethics flouting, this would not be a championship contender. it's weird. the member of congress most responsible for overseeing one of your agencies, you give his wife a plum job at the agency, it's a little weird. for these guys, it's like tuesday. not a big deal. you know. so we have that news a few days ago from "the washington post", then today, just days after we got news of the racist wife getting a job at the state department, we got the surprising news that congressman, ed royce, the one whose wife got

k.t. mcfarland. back on the scene, you know, we had heard she was going to be nominated to be the u.s.assador to singapore. that was sort of put on hold. it's back on. there had been questions by congressional investigators connected to mcfarland and the russia probe. remember, she was so closely tied to mike flynn. i've spoken to people in the white house who said all of those people during the mike flynn era, they're gone, we need to start anew. we need to start fresh. when dina powell joined the white house, many said this is going to be the first sign that the dina powells of the world are moving in and the k.t.s out. now k.t.'s back. what does that say? russia investigation is a hoax? well, bringing back k.t. mcfarland would support that idea, that the president isn't worried about it. >> i think she might be in some trouble with getting that nomination confirmed. that's going to be difficult during an ongoing investigation. >> why do it? >> one of the reasons you do it, i wouldn't do it myself, one of the reasons why he is doing it is because trumpist foreign policy isn't a thing
