and at the local market it does not take time to track one down. 24 hours a day, buses poured out of kabul, taking migrants on the first leg of their journey. many would-be migrants are caught at the border between afghanistan and iraq. the ones that do manage to slip through travel thousands of miles over hostile terrain to reach turkey, and then west to the river border with greece, the gateway to europe. the border is incredibly puris and a huge headache for the greeks. infrared cameras...
