my search hard and heavy when we lost our first daughter, cecilia and when we heard our daughter kaitlin had a genetic condition as well. i was fortunate enough to get involved with betsy and the adoption coalition. there were volunteers np in the audience that came and approached me and wanted to help me with my search, reunite ohio was the group that helped me and they did a fantastic job. confirming facts checking things with me so i was fortunate in 2013 to be reunited with my birth mother and as late as 2014 to meet my birth father. i've met both of them at this point. >> do you have any sort of relationship with them? >> yes absolutely, my birth mother was with me, whether i received an original copy of my birth certificate. she had not seen this document in 39 years. as recently as last weekend we were having lunch with them. >> can you explain to me why some parents don't want people like you to find out who they are? >> absolutely. i think my birth father said it best when i first met him. he said i really didn't know what you wanted. when you came to find me i didn't know if yo
