hundreds of kaldor fire evacuees have been calling this parking lot outside green valley community churchning they're not getting their mail and they're not getting their mail in ballots and that's why eldorado county elections officials are bringing their ballots. to them, setting up a temporary voting center with just days notice our phones started blowing up monday and with concerned voters and worried about their ballots most of those ballots are being held at local post offices in diamond springs and cameron park but instead of making evacuees track down their mail, the elections office is issuing them new ballots altogether voters can come here they can get a ballot if they need to. they can register to vote if they need to. we have a ballot box that they can put their ballots in and we'll transport him back to the office for viewing within minutes of setting up their booth in the parking lot, evacuate. started lining up we weren't even fully set up and we already had people here with interest and it's this already has been a huge hit and we've only been open for 20 minutes so elect
