that’s how one of them ended up in the future commander of the partisan brigade named after kalinina leonid sarokaifovich soroka was born in 1919 in the village of a curve, a former zaslavsky village. and now the minsk region in october 1939. leonid was drafted into the red army. he received his baptism of fire near moscow in 1941, then there was the study of a special category at school. at the end of september 1942, forty, together with radio operator alexandra gorkova , were parachuted into the area of the village of the crossroads of the pre-war ruden region on the instructions of the headquarters. they landed by parachute and met with the partisans, and already in october 1942. he became their leader. in a short time, forty was able to organize a combat-ready partisan detachment. they acted on the territory of the rudensky pukhovichi and minsk districts , organized ambushes and sabotage on highways and railways defeated several fortified enemy garrisons.
