how have you found running the arts organization different versus kansas city and how has washington and pressed you as a cultural center? >> i love washington and there are some wonderful dc arts providers and there's something for everyone in this microcosm of the of a city so it's been great. in some ways running the performance arts center for the performing arts in kansas city has been similar to washington in and that it's still that mindset of bok choy and corn dogs and that mindset of the conference center for the performing arts pulling people together that one of the arts for different reasons but didn't always have the same perspective into the drywall or is because i oversaw the construction of the kauffman center. we were talking with the drywall or is and they don't talk the same way. now we are in washington and we have the opportunity to honor the different ways and perspectives sometimes they are opposing to each other without forcing everybody to be a mike slides see more similarities may be more dense in population. how has being an artist affected how you lead the
