i'm speaking on behalf of my mom for 7 36 kansas street. one of the main complaints we have, first of all, the craftsman ship of the work was horrible. there's a lot of splatter on the wall when they were doing the saw cutting as well as a parked car that was next to the driveway. when they had done the curb cut there, first of all, there's discrepancies in the amount of linear footage that was done. they didn't do it correct. you're supposed to go out into the street roughly 12 to 18 inches and that was not done. and there is a discrepancy there is some work that was done on my neighbor's property that we were charged for as well. so, i took a calculation from what was done, what was marked originally and what we were billed for and what we should be billed for. and i had tried to get hold of someone down there, the sidewalk department, as soon as we got this notice, to have someone come out just to clarify exactly what needs to be done. and i didn't get a call for a long time. so, i had to go down there about maybe actually three weeks la

working with our affiliate kshb, we recently tracked him down to o this quiet suburban street in nearby oberlin park, kansas. his name is paul mongiello, a 58-year-old insurance executive, married, the father of two grown sons. the evening jj's exploded paul was driving by on his way home from work. >> the vehicle rocked from side to side. initially i thought i was just hit by another vehicle, and then as soon as i literally thought the thought, then i could see the debris and flames and smoke from the explosion. >> reporter: paul made a panicked phone call to his wife debra. >> there was an explosion. he was quite frantic. before i could ask a whole lot of questions, he said he had to go. he just said, i got to go, i got to go. and he hung up. >> reporter: after he got out of the car, he says, his instincts took over. >> you know when you hear somebody screaming, when you hear a woman screaming, that is -- you know, something that you need to respond to. >> reporter: just as the fire at jj's was about to flare out of control, paul made his first rescue run. >> flames were shooting and i saw one gal coming
