our kara st. cyr is there live. kara, what is the situation like right now? >> reporter: anne, we just got to the point where the water has receded enough for some people to get through. now look right here at this water. i want you to pay attention to this blue car. the water has shrunk a foot about two feet high, two hours ago. if you look at where those plants are, that is how high the water was. and if you look a little over here to my right, you can see this is where most of the water was spilling over. they're worried that further along down the stream, they might cause some flooding later on. now about those people that were in this sutter medical center. now there were some people that were in there, wheelchair bound. because the area was flooded, they were not able to come out on their own. so they had a few come in and pick people up. and also they had to rescue two people as you can see the cars are still there, not quite at a point where they could move yet. but we have seen a lot of this water go down, and it looks like it is starting to ease up.

good morning kara. good morning everyone. well, it is a very, very cold morning in the bay.dry out from the rain that we've had this week, but that is just bringing some cold air over the next couple of days, allowing for the earth to cool way too much over the next couple of mornings. so we wake up with the freeze warning, the purple there on your screen, north bay, east bay valleys, and even through parts of the foothills down here in the south bay. everybody else excluding the coast right there under that frost advisory until about 9 a.m. once we start to get a little bit more sunshine in the mix, and that's going to continue even into next week. so let's take a look at some numbers here. mostly cold up there in the north bay. 32 calistoga. we go over to the east bay 33 in danville right now. so you notice that some of those numbers are starting to approach that freezing point, maybe even already getting some subfreezing points in those isolated valleys along the peninsula. we do 42 in palo alto, 45 right now in san mateo, to 43 in south san jose. so expect those numbers
