let's get you ready for the commute with david and karen. good morning. >> on infrared satellite that low lying cloud cover and fog generally doesn't show up because the temperature of the clouds are very similar to the surface and that's how infrared shows clouds, it judges that difference in temperature. so, right now we've got clear skies indicated on satellite and that is true in parts of the region but in some areas, there is some low lying cloud cover that has developed beneath that infrared satellite image n some cases the fog visibility levels are fairly low. millville reading and lancaster will be among the lowest below a half mile visibility spots right now. philadelphia two and a half miles. these numbers have a tendency to change though and the general idea of the morning is that most of you will be okay but if you happen to encounter that thicker fog slow it down. 44 degrees and cool to start out in philadelphia, down 40 in allentown, upper 30's in reading, lancaster and millville so chilly out there this morning. and as we head

karen what do you got on the roads there?lights. >> yeah, we have more on our breaking news on i-95. this accident involves an overturned vehicle southbound. it's near edgemont avenue near 320. you're in delaware county and we had been blocking all lanes with this accident, an overturned vehicle. we're hearing there are injuries on the scene with this so medical emergency workers can coming tots scene. we see the flashing lights. they had been blocking all lanes. penndot has the arrow board out. they have been intermittently allowing that left lane to get by but look at the backup. i mean, you're just going nowhere. this is i-95 southbound here at ridley park and you are jammed solid at this point from approaching ridley park to 320 where you've got the that accident scene that had been blocking all lanes on i-95. now one lane getting by but the damage is kind of done here and everybody's backed up on i-95 southbound. couple of other accidents out there. we have this disabled vehicle on 422 westbound. the on-ramp from townshi

we've got meteorologist, david murphy and karen rogers is watching the roads.d morning. >> well, as we take an early look at satellite and radar, all we've got is clouds and some drizzle falling from the low lying cloud cover this morning. there are some showers down to the south. every now and then the models tend to bring this up around mid day. other runs have had it kind of falling apart before it gets here. i think the big issue this morning is the low lying cloud cover and that drizzle on your windshield that does have those wipers going intermittently. 46 degrees in philadelphia, 45 in trenton, 45 in wilmington. 44 in allentown. you can see how numbers beneath those early clouds are very even. winds not as strong as yesterday either so that's nice. cloudy skies drizzle maybe a shower later on but i generally think between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 we're looking at cool and damp conditions. and it stays a little bit milder later this afternoon. 46 degrees by 10 o'clock. and then by noon up to 51 which is better than most of you experienced yesterday. lat

i'm meteorologist karen thomas.e're looking for sunshine this morning and that is really good news for our saturday so mostly sunny skies as we check our headlines. cooler. we had some record warmth this past week. temperatures dipping down a bit especially through the weekend. we're tracking rain for tomorrow mainly. 44 degrees right now in philadelphia. that's about 17 degrees cooler than where we were yesterday morning. yesterday's high close to 67 degrees. not that warm today but sunshine to start anyway. current temperatures in allentown, 32. northeast 39 degrees. 34 degrees right now in atlantic city. so temperatures across the region on the cooler side for sure. want to show you as we were basking in heat on thursday breaking a record of 82 degrees, you can see our temperature cooldown just slipping down into the 60s for the weekend. 67 for our high today. 63 projection for tomorrow. future weather, we'll start with sun. as we move through saturday, the cloud shield moves in and we're looking for mostly cloud

karen rogers what are roads looking like? they're a little damp out there. >> we've been following this accident on i-95. it's northbound at 413 in bristol township bucks county involving and an overturned vehicle. what we can see right now is they're loading the vehicle up on the tow truck as we speak. we have debris off to the shoulder. at this point you can see traffic is getting by on i-95 northbound at 413. it's mostly off to the side. they may need to momentarily block it when they pull this tow truck out. you kind of get the idea looking at this shot it's damp out there, dreary. we're not talking the efrain yesterday but it's damp nonetheless with some low clouds. this is the roosevelt boulevard. that's you were southbound traffic headed towards the schuylkill. moving okay at this point. pretty light volume heading out very early at this point. an accident in hatfield new this morning on clemons road at forty foot road and we've been talking about this fire in chestnut because edgemont avenue still blocked between 14th

good morning to you, karen. good morning, everybody. now things are nice and dry here in northeast philadelphia. along 95 no extra overnight construction here in the ongoing work zone by cottman avenue. southbound traffic headed towards center city is moving just fine with speeds in the 50's. no issues at this point on the schuylkill but again, getting there on the ramp from the boulevard southbound to 76 westbound still have that dv on the shoulder. police out there alerting you to it this morning. and our crash in camden has been confirmed. it's in the southbound lanes of 676 approaching collings avenue. so watch out for the emergency crews responding there. and we're getting word of a new accident in burlington county involving an overturned vehicle. reports of this coming in on 295 southbound at 130 bordentown. watch out for the emergency crews there as well. but our overnight work on the new jersey turnpike that i mentioned during the last report has cleared out so everything is reopened there. maintenance work on the burlington br
