fox 29's karen hepp live in reading where the berks county da just released charges in the case. karen? >> reporter: that district attorney says when one officer fabricates evidence or information that jeopardizes the reputation for all the other officers. they take this very serious. they say in this case the officer told one story but all the video told another. this is officer jesus santiago jesus of the reading police department wrestling a cell phone from woman. investigators say you can clearly see him slam it on the ground so hard it bounces up. next, there's a struggle where he purges her investigators say and then grabs and throws her over to the sidewalk so her head smacks a pipe cutting her so badly, she needed three staples. what started all of this? the district attorney says, a lie. >> he used that false information to escalate the situation.

fox 29's karen hepp is outside the courtroom tonight with more. karen. >> reporter: packed courtroom, both sides but the suspect and the victim in this case had a lot of family that were here to support them. this was preliminary hearing they're trying to see if there's enough testified hold the suspect on these charges over for larger hearing and for tri trial. there was so much video in this case and they did play some in court. >> detective pointed video in court and said it plainly shows sherri amoore leaving the king of prussia on march 29th way little seven week old baby who was not hers. tiny simmons was found hours later in her apartment a detective testified. her own attorney admits there's a lot of evidence. >> it's an open close as to what happened. what's not closed is why it happened. >> reporter: right now amoore is getting counseling. she cried in court and left without saying anything. she told detectives according to court documents that she had lost a baby in february and when she held the baby all those emotion came flooding back

here's fox 29's karen hepp. >> reporter: the crews are still out here on the scene right now just toet the stage this is eighth street sands casino is just down the hill a couple of blocks away. four families right now that are homeless because of this blaze. it happened in two buildings and one of the big issues they weren't just battling the fire you can see the firefighters over here. they were battling the heat. you can see the smoke for miles. the fire was so out of control they need to do call in every crew in the entire city of bethlehem to battle it. jasmine, cried as they watched her home of 24 years burn. >> we cry and we worry and get anxiety want not. there's always a positive to everything. we praying for the positive of it. hope fg physical we can get through it. >> reporter: four families lost their homes in these two buildings on eighth street. most have lived here for decad decades. >> whatever we got in there that's material stuff. we don't worry about it. this is was a tough fire and there were some extremely scary moments when three firefighters called a may day b

fox 29's karen hepp has more. >>> the store owner immediately thought it was very suspicious when he check his surveillance video this morning and saw there was a guy in a sheet getting a soda from his machine in the middle of the night. right across from where a wanted man disappeared. he called police and he says they told him that's the guy they were searching for. the business owner didn't want to go on camera, but he gave us this exclusive video. yesterday police say a suspect tire roll winchester stole a car and then rammed a willis town police officer's vehicle. you can see where he wound up in the woods of ridley creek state park. skyfox was over the scene right along west chester pike. that's why police were back out today combing the woods searching with dogs and choppers to find him. the beautiful park is always popular but on a day like today, it was packed with hikers and bikers. they didn't know what to make of the massive manhunt. >> we come here a lot we just like to hike and stuff. just a nice area. i didn't think something like that would happen. >> i hope they find

let's get straight to fox 29's karen hepp live in overbrook. karen. >> reporter: i want to set the scene where this all happened. we're in overbrook across lancaster avenue very very busy road right here. that's the scene of where the shooting actually occurred and where the officers tried to stop this vehicle. and that is where the driver was hit and then the vehicle rolled all the way down this street on overbrook and crashed right into this whole line of cars. you can see this one is damaged. witnesses say if we take a look this is actually the victim's shoe. police have just identified this victim 52 years old. richard feretti and he is from andreas, pennsylvania. unarmed man driving a mini van was shot and killed by undercover officer in the overbrook section of philadelphia early this morning according to investigators. his mother tells fox 29, we are deeply trouble by what happened. we're waiting for answers. he was just sitting in his car and they shot him. we are not happy. our attorney will be doing a further investigation. witnesses s

fox 29's karen hepp is in bethlehem with more on a very difficult day for firefighters and residents, karen. >> reporter: yeah, really not just the fire it is also the heat. we still have the scene very active right now. they have this all under investigation this fire. we've got firefighters that are still out here. in all, there were four families who lost their homes and most of them had been here for decades. it was a smokey fire that got a really big head start. it took every piece of equipment in bethlehem to battle this three alarmer. what started in one double house quickly jumped to another really scary moments when three firefighters got trapped on the second floor. >> they were cut off by fire on the stair. they didn't have access to the stairs, and they called may day they were trapped and ended up jumping out a second floor window. >> reporter: all three hurt their feet and one had to go to the hospital. the red cross is helping the four families who lost everything. jasmine says they lived here for 24 years. >> first thing that came to my mind mostly the memories i lost

let's get right to our karen hepp live at physical police headquarters. l right, karen washington you got? >> reporter: well, we know the officer has been put on desk duty. and we also spoke with the officials here at the philadelphia police. they're taking this very serio seriously. a philadelphia police officer is on desk duty right now as several different departments investigate an alleged incident. the bucks county district attorney confirms bristol police were call last thursday to levittown where the officer lives for a dispute involving contractors. the district attorney is reviewing the case right now. philadelphia police say they were notified. >> as a result of that notification, an internal investigation will take place. and that's underway at this particular time but they're monitoring the outside investigation, if you will, in terms of any criminal component. >> reporter: officer' neighbors don't know what to make of these allegations. >> hard to believe. yeah, 'cause since he's been here he's been very good neighbor. >> that is shocking. we
