[applause] i was one of i think 28 republicans who voted against no child left behind. i voted against efforts by the republican president to expand entitlements, but i had a deep sense as i recount in "so help me god" that if we walked away from that reagan vision of limited government, fiscal responsibility that the american people would walk away from us. in 2006, they did. we would lose in 2006, and i would say at the t

hill and republicans beyond alright. elena. train for us in washington. thank you so much. let's bring it down. cnn senior political commentator and former republican congressman adam kinzinger and cnn political commentator karen finney. good morning to you both. congressman let me start with you. do you know enough yet to agree or disagree with some of your former republican house colleagues that this is political. no no, and they don't know either. i mean, look, it's one thing to say, hey, let's take a look at what this indictment says. i mean, it's the rule of law. that's kind of an important thing. but to see people like lindsey graham jump out there and cry on tv, begging for money for him, and to see some of my other colleagues that seem to have read an indictment that even donald trump himself haven't haven't read. they don't have the proper information. look there. maybe you know, once we actually see what this indictment is there, maybe then a point at which they come out and say, look, this looks like anybody else wouldn't have been charged with this. but we're not there yet. and the rule of law and, frankly, the impartiality of the law. so important that just you know, i would recommend to my collea
