week ago members of the legacy high football team were involved in a deadly school bus crash at denver international airport. their bus driver, kari chopper, died. 15 players and three coaches were injured. one of the coaches, matt kroupa, is still in the hospital this morning. despite that, the team decided to homecoming game. 9news reporter vida urbonas has more. >> reporter: good morning. it was an emotional night for everyone at the legacy high school homecoming game. they held a special tribute before the time to honor the victims. bus crash. there was a moment of silence for the loss of bus driver kari chopper. that was followed by cheers from the crowd in her memory. they went on to then play their homecoming game. the students say they are sticking together during all of this. >> it's really been incredible come together and the schools united together to make it an incredible week. >> we have been focused on keeping everyone's spirits up and getting better day by day. >> reporter: throw broncos showed thundershower support as well. they donated a football signed by emmanuel sanders. in the information center, vida urbonas, 9news.
