i know meteorologist kari hall, you have equipment that will measure lightning. >> yes, we are looking at the lightning strikes, as we've been tracking this system, moving through the bay area, and looking at that storm, as it continues to produce some spotty showers, especially around the oakley area. as we get a look at the radar now, we see that there is some lightning that is moving out of the delta and moving toward fairfield, but you can see right around oakley now, that storm has cleared. and also, not seeing as much in the way of lightning strikes, as the storm moves into vacaville, as well as fairfield, but it continues to move off towards the north and east and will be moving towards napa and vacaville within the next several minutes. this is the activity we will see as we go throughout the day. some cloud-to-ground lightning and the potential for some small hail, as we see some scattered activity throughout this afternoon, into the evening. elsewhere, it's all dry, and you're just seeing the cloudy skies. this is the kind of activity that also continues into tomorrow. so i'l

here's meteorologist kari hall. >> we will still see the clouds hanging around for most of the coastline. and then clearing up inland, looking at some sunshine later on today. but now our temperatures are feeling mild, and the low 60s, upper 50s for the north bay. 67 degrees this and in the peninsula, with a high of 68 degrees in the south bay, as well as the tri valley. and partly sunny skies in san francisco with a high of 63 degrees. so it's still cooler than average. we still see clouds. once again, the weather will be improving as we go into the next several hours and the next several days. i'll detail that coming up in any next microclimate forecast. to just in, a judge in mexico rules that the convicted drug king pin, joaquin "el chapo" approv can be ex indicted to the u.s. he defense can appeal. officials have 20 days to decide whether to approve guzman's extradition to the united states. he is locked up across the border from el paso, texas. guzman was abruptly transferred there saturday. they say the move was because r ise was construction at the prison in central mexico. eneda

wx toss to traffic >>> good monday morning, i'm meteorologist kari hall.in the mid to upper 50s. it will be a warmer day, up to 78 in the south bay. east bay 74. some low 80s for the tri-valley. we'll also have 80s in the north bay while san francisco up to 71. warmer temperatures today and that warming trend continues over the next couple of days. high pressure moves in. it fights back this onshore flow. inland temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. even near 90. by the weekend, we'll have more changes on the way. as we replace that high pressure with low pressure, will be cooler, stronger onshore flow and slight chance of showers farther off to the north. looking at that temperature trend for san francisco, we should be in the mid 60s. we'll be up to 71 today. then cooler once again by the end of the week. let's head over to mike for a look where it may be slowing down. >> north of the san mateo bridge. typical flowing and patterns toward the maze. lighter than typical monday. we have this jam down through hayward to fremont. there was an earlier crash. a
