meteorologist kari hall is here. quality today? >> it will still be quite bad in some spots but improving here. this is a live look at the yosemite valley looking toward halftone. rethink more smoke will be moving in that direction mother bay area will be improving from moderate to be good to date with numbers dropping below 50 as we measure how much of that particulate matter is in the air . and we will see worsening air quality around south lake tahoe and much of the sierra. as far as where the smoke is blowing, mostly to the north and east as we see a slight shift in the wind. the area around the washburn fire, crews are dealing with hot temperatures and low humidity but the wind has been fairly light. today we see temperatures heading back into the 90s today with some very dry air. we are watching a slight cooldown for the bait area and will talk about that in a few minutes. >>> breaking news just in from the defense department. sources at u.s. central command tell nbc news the leader of isis in syria has been killed in a u.s.

. >> let's turn to meteorologist kari hall and she's been tracking the conditions . >> yes those fires are very difficult to put them out and it may take months, who knows how long to put them out? that will be an issue with air quality and we've been watching to see what is going on with washburn fire near yosemite and it is good they are getting more containment. it will be another really hot day and temperatures are in the low 70s, timidity is fairly high, then we will see it heading up towards 97 degrees in that area today, and humidity dropping to about 19%. then we look at the smoke that has for the most part been blowing to the east and away from the bay area. we also have the riosa fire that started a few days ago which is also blowing towards south lake tahoe. and for the marsh fire we are seeing unhealthy air quality around antioch and pittsburgh, and we will continue to see that for today and to most likely the next several days. mike, you have been looking to see where we can find lower gas prices. >> kari we look around everyday to find cheapest prices, we found gas for $5

let's check in with meteorologist kari hall.unrise. >> a great start to monday morning, a really nice day but it depends on where you are in the bay area the weather that you experience. as you are headed out, a clear start in san jose with bright sunrise as temperatures start in the lower 60s and then look at the trend for the day at lunchtime 81 degrees continuing to warm up from there reaching 83, 93 in livermore with lower 80s for napa as you head over to the coast mid-sixties. will talk about the temperature range and the changes through the week but we are tracking changes in the valley. >> north livermore avenue the crash with debris in the area lanes have cleared but there might be debris and a possible traffic rake, we will track that because it could mean a disturbance for the altamont pass now about 25 minutes down to the 580. after that crash everything smooth for the valley the south bay no major issues and the bay bridge toll plaza with a growing backup with a beautiful sunrise. back to you. >>> a live look in san
