abc7 news anchor karina nova is live in the newsroom for us with the latest. karina >> larry, kristin, police gave an update about an hour ago shortly after parents and students were reunited and we learned the shooting happened on campus around 1130 this morning while kids were in class at skyline high school. when opd got the call of the reports of a shooting. officers responded to campus, which was on lockdown when police were assisted by chp and the alameda county sheriff's office. >> officers detained four individuals, two of whom were placed under arrest. officers conducted a methodical search of the campus and thankfully there were no reported injuries. evidence of a shooting was recovered include a handgun. >> abc7 news spoke to students who were kept in their classrooms during the lockdown and here's what they told us. >> i knew it was real because i heard the shots and everybody was running and then as soon as we got the little announcement on the loudspeaker, we were like, oh nah, this is actually like for real. for real. my kids are not coming to sc

abc7 news anchor karina nova joining us live at the newsroom with a closer look at those closures. karina >> yeah, julie and kristen target says despite adding more security, the effort was not enough to stop rampant shoplifting. the three stores clin the bay area are the san francisco location. that's at 13th and folsom streets in oakland at 27th and broaaynd at century plaza shopping center in pittsburgh. this will leave 32 stores in the bay area. the closures hit on the issue of retail theft in the bay area, something the state is working to address as we recently saw the state provide millions of dollars to cities to fight back. and oakland actually missed the deadline to get the money. san francisco has dealt with numerous stores closing because of perceived problems with retail theft as well as slow rebound from the pandemic. some people we spoke with near the san francisco target seem to understand the closure. >> sometimes when i get there, it's the police or the, you know, the whoever is the security guards are with someone who is either taking something. >> i mean, i'm not

i'm karina nova. those shots fired around four this afternoon. it pped on westbound 580 near seminanue in oaklande chp gave a statement to abc seven news about the gunfire saying none of the victims were at the scene when officers arrived. we saw several cars with bullet holes on 580. a short time after the shooting, officers learned that two people with gunshot wounds took themselves to highland hospital . both are expected to survive. the chp says a stray bullet hit a car in the eastbound lanes. dispatch audio from broadcastify indicate that at least one of the shooting victims called police for help. we have a black chevrolet suv that's on the right hand shoulder with 4 to 5 shots for possibly bullet holes in the vehicle. a black male adult with a white shirt in that vehicle advising he has been hit by some of the bullets. no word yet on a motive or whether the victims were targeted. all lanes of 580 were reopened. and by 630 tonight. happening now, a first for burning man. no way in or out. rain turned the playa into a sopping wet, muddy mess
