good afternoon, karl. we're now by my count -- i'm not very good at math -- four months from the mid-terms. republicans hold a three-point edge over democrats what odds do you give that holding? >> pretty much things get baked into the cake in june and july. that's where they are when you come around to voting in october and november of a mid-term. so it's baked in. what is amazing is how badly the president is doing on major issues. these are his disapproval numbers on major issues. biggest issue obviously inflation and the economy. 73% disapprove of his handling on inflation, 68% on the economy, 61% disapproval of his handling of immigration, 55 on ukraine where he's been given good marks. so the president is in bad shape with the voters as he comes for toward to the mid-term election. >> if you add up the sum total, we come to this stat that 27% of american voters nationwide want president biden to run for re-election in 2024. break that down for us. >> well, look, i felt a long time -- remember our con

karl: it is an interesting question.ave to consider your amount of capital, your ability to run. the companies that have a lot of capital on the balance sheet, whether they are private or public, have the highest potential to see through this time. you just have to manage the business through this time. once you get through it, hopefully the market turns and you begin to see the benefits of building and running a solid business. but your question about employees especially at the earlier stage, where in this market as well there is very low unemployment -- employees do have a lot of options to think about moving around and think about what they want to do companies are thinking about layoffs, some kind of tightening , the earnings potential. one really important thing is to keep your best performers and to motivate them. one thing we really speak to our ceo's about is how to deliver that vision, bring them along for the ride, make sure everybody realizes these businesses are not changing. it is just that the vision is so
