san francisco. and there is karl kind of blocking your view of the sunrise. so i wanted to take you up above the fog to see the sunrise from our sutro tower camera. clouds will linger this morning but then we'll see the sun peeking out as temperatures head for the low 60s there. around the bay, we're taking a look at that traffic flow coming through dublin, and there we're headed for 82 today. really pleasant afternoon. a little bit warmer in gilroy with a high of 85. and 73 in san rafael. we're starting out with fog around that area. so we'll talk more about minor changes ahead. mike, you are looking at the north bay as well. >> yeah, trying to give fol folks a little warning about the richardson bridge project the next few days. there will be lane restrictions. this one possibly delayed, but looks like there have been no problems. and build across the bridge of course kicks in for the morning commute. we're looking at a surface street crash just off highway 101, but not a major issue from what i can tell. peninsula looking great. the crash on 880 should be

san francisco international airport. >> one thing that we're missing is karl, the fog. very clear night out there. warm, dry offshore breezes that help warm us up 5 to 10 degrees above average. and tomorrow, things really going to heat up. in addition to that, we're going to see poor air particles, especially for those of you in the coast and even east bay area's. we're going to notice moderate air particles still pretty good in the north bay and south bay. but we are going to see a little bit more of that haze extending from the coast into the east bay. so just keep that in mind, especially those of you with any pulmonary or respiratory issues. but we're going to track temperatures tomorrow, warming up low 80's for downtown san francisco's mission district. we should be averaging low 70's for this time of year for those 2 cities. in fact, 10 degrees above average there with the marina district in the mid 70's. very comfortable temperatures along our bay area beaches, daly, city of pacific up flirting with 70's. but in the upper 60's with mid 70's of peace for all granada and half moon bay. so it'

san mateo bridge tonight. >> and lawrence is a into been watching tropical storm karl beginning that kind wind and yeah, trying to wind down a bit. i mean, but it's going to place was going to cause some flash flooding. and so kind of scary as it comes on shore, even though not hurricane strength that you so much moisture involved in uc. >> call becoming the come on shore now. and as it does not packing a ton of wind, a sustained winds of 35 miles an hour moving to the south. really interesting track, though, the first was driving to the north and the northeast and it kind of looped around again and started to head southward and now it's about to make landfall. and where pushes on shore here. watch the track as it moves on shore, bring some heavy rainfall, maybe 3, maybe 6 inches of rain or so. plus, and as much as 10 inches in some of the mountains or so. that's certainly going to cause some flash flooding concerns and some flooding in those areas. something to watch out for. if you're heading to southern mexico. meantime, though, that fog is streaming on shore. you can see the light showing up just down belo

san francisco. want to start after. so the real quick look at tropical storm karl, which is down in the gulf of mexico. you can see. >> a sustained right now winds at 45 miles per hour. and it's making this hairpin turn. that's going to take it towards the coast. you see where that orange line is. that's for those tropical storm warnings are friday night into saturday morning is when it is going make land fall rather quickly and then it will dissipate and will be cut or to power by some of the mountains that it's going to encounter. but right now it is still posing a threat to those at the coast there. no doubt about it. it does have some dry air that's being dragged into it and that is helping it not to get any more powerful than it already is. but let's take it back to the bay where, hey, we're off to a good start today. really nice out there. lots of beautiful blue skies as we take a look from the east bay. 61 right now in san francisco, 50 out of 8 a half moon base, a little cool out there at the coast still, but we're warming up inland. you could see living word. 65 74 in antioch nap about 62 in p

san francisco. it's chilly out. there will definitely talk about the weekend. but right now our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow is tracking karl for karl, the fog not call the fog is the other, carl. this one very dangerous storm system. >> making its way into mexico right now. it's not going to bring through winds with the storm system is going to be really about the rain as it moves on shore or already seen a lot of clouds. a lot of the storms moving on shore ahead of the center of the low. that is moving a little bit closer right now. you can see all those clouds moving on shore in mexico. in a carmen, your skin, some heavy rainfall down that section of mexico and that low still lingering off the coastline, sustained winds, not all that powerful of a 35 miles per hour. moving to the south at 3 miles an hour. just a low now making its way closer. the coastline continuing to weaken. but possibly dropping 3, maybe 6 inches of rain and maybe as much as 10 inches over the mountain tops. we're talking about flash flooding in areas and some flooding locally in some of the rivers. there. all right here around the bay area. the chec
