in washington, i'm kate amara, wbal-tv 11 news. >> it was a violent week in baltimore city. lowell melser is live that city police headquarters with that story. >> the most recent shooting happening around 11:00 p.m. last night. a man was shot in the chest on east madison street. his condition is not known. it highlights a very violent 40 hour period -- 48-hour period. violence began after a 32-year- old man died after he was gunned down in northeast baltimore. police say the victim was shot in the head just after 10:00 saturday night in the 4400 block of bel air road. he was rushed to hopkins where he later died. then a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in west baltimore. police believe dayon barnes was sitting inside a car in the 200 block of north smallwood street at around 12:30 sunday morning when someone opened fire. he was taken to shock trauma were he later died. and then an hour later, police say a cab driver was pulling into a parking lot in the 2700 block on sisson street. we're told one of two passengers in the taxi pulled a gun, demanded money, then shot the d
