. >> let's goat kate fehlinger on the sky deck with a chilly thanksgiving forecast.atie. >> it is. you're right. it was a very cold start to the morning. what we had working for us however is thankfully not too much of a twitch have to worry about but that said, the temperature really took a hit since yesterday and even despite bright sunshine it really isn't going to feel much warmer than, say, 10 degrees or so below average. now looking at storm scan that is clear. it will stay that way throughout the day and even into tomorrow. that said, when you look at the temperature difference, yeah, it's chilly outside with your deficit from this same time yesterday, almost as much as 20 degrees, so it is chilly out here and worthy of the heavier layers so winter companies, the scarf, the gloves and i took a little walk to get coffee earlier this morning and a lot of people had all of those extra layers plus the hat. that was a smart move because i know they were out at the parade and it wasn't a chilly start to the day. we're still not even in the 40's here at philadelphia

kate fehlinger on the sky deck to tell us how long the wet weather will stick around. >> i don't thinkou'll have to worry about wet weather until at the absolute earliest 8:00 p.m. or 9 p.m. for most of you it will get here later than that. we get through the p.m. rush without any hitches. it's very bright and sunny on the cbs3 sky deck and pretty much everywhere else. we did have that pretty well defined cloud cover out on this morning that's obviously since moved out of here. we are eventually going to see a cold front passage flakes however coming through in rapid succession in the last couple days right but this is going object last of the series and again that will bring in a little bit of wet weather but not for many hours from this point. so, you're currently in the midst of very comfortable weather. here's a look at the temperature change in the last 24 hours. anywhere from eight to 10 to 15, 16 degrees cooler by comparison to this time yesterday. they have nice bright sunshine but it is cooler by comparison. meanwhile you don't have much wind either. so, it's just a nice day.

kate fehlinger is live on the winter -- sky deck to tell us when the temperatures will plunge. >> itasn't been the point where you've had to hug the tote that much tighter because of the wind chill. that's still relatively comfortable outside but it's not going to last very long. let me show you what's going on on storm scan3. the next cold front in question doesn't look that impressive does it? it's got a little band of snow over in over the great lakes and across the canadian border. this is what comes in later today with merely a shower for some of you late this afternoon and early evening as it crosses west to east. the current temperature readings are overachieving. 60 at the airport, 60 in millville its a comfortable start to the day. now, by the time we hit saturday morning, this is where you'll fall on the thermometer. look at this. this is your actual air temperature expectations. you are lucky if you hit 25 degrees in philadelphia come saturday morning. and that's when the timing will coincide with that freeze watch that the anchors mentioned. that will go into that effect
