kate larson joins us live with one of the trains on the story. >> reporter: hey, there. we are stopped at the station. we're heading southbound towards nevado right now. i told you the next time we saw you, it would be standing room only. the train is filled. people are excited the get the smart train up and running. they have gotten some more testing to do. they are optimistic. they will be open for good, soon. >> it's coming. >> reporter: the smart train is pulling into sonoma and mar stations >> reporter: she's riding are her mom. >> it's really awesome. i love it. >> we might just be taking the train and going on adventures. >> reporter: she and her husband have been waiting for years to see the first stretch of the train route. 43 miles complete. >> it's spacious. it's roomy. i love it. we have been waiting anxiously for it. >> reporter: the train was set the open last fall but that was delayed over diesel engine issues and smart is still building the extension scheduled the open 2019. they are also still fund raising for a northern extension up to clov cloverdale.

abc7 news reporter kate larson is live near uber headquarters in san francisco. kate, a big meeting there today and a bunch of people fired. >> reporter: absolutely. you know, an uber spokesperson tells me that the head of uber's hr held a company-wide meeting today that was streamed live to their 12,000 employees around the world, explaining that many people had been fired amid hundreds of hr claims. sources tell me of the 20 uber employees fired, some were senior executives. most of whom were working out at uber san francisco offices. this all started back in february when a former uber engineer susan fowler wrote a blog post alleging sexual harassment and discrimination during her time at the tech giant. as a result, uber commissioned two investigations. for the first, uber hired attorneys and perkins coie to look into the sexual harassment claims raised by fowler which eventually expanded to include 215 claims to hr, 54 of which are discrimination, 47 sexual harassment, 33 bullying, 19 harassment, 13 retaliations, three physical security, and one wrongful term

. >> kate larson is live with the details. kate? >> reporter: well, dan, ama, those boaters were lucky they were rescued they were. they launched here, and they got about a mile into the bay when the coast guard says their sailboat capsized. i watched as the three men after being treated by paramedics, walked into an ambulance. they did appear okay. but first, let's go ahead and take a look at that video from sky 7 earlier this afternoon. the helicopter was overhead during today's very timely rescue. about five minutes after the men capsized, a fleet ferry in the area was able to rescue one one the three boaters, w who was ab torarab a life preserver ring and swim to the boat. today's wind and current made it
