i am joined by kate moody. we're going to look at the markets.y seem to have increased this morning. >> the trekking day -- the trading day in asia, we saw the nikkei closing down 2% and that red streak is continuing here in europe done we see markets in amsterdam milan, madrid, and lisbon all plunging 3% during trading this morning. after a pretty stable open, paris has fallen dramatically also falling below 3%, dipping below the symbolic threshold of 4000 points. as you see here, it has recovered slightly now, although it is down over 2%. germany's dax and london's ftse taking heavy losses. we will be monitoring them throughout the session. global markets have been volatile for the last few weeks that the global economic recovery is faltering, seeming to become to a head in the session you might say. we just heard from the european union they will continue to help greece and whatever ways are necessary to support its economy . that could be causing more worry among investors further loans or bailout funds. ebola is also a worry on the market th
