for legal perspective, let's bring in abc news supreme court contributor kate shaw. kate, good morning. >> good morning. >> for the families or individuals trying to come or worried about if they leave, whether they can come back, how much of a window are we looking at? >> there's going to be an expedited schedule. there are briefs due today and tomorrow. they could rule as early as monday afternoon. so the window could close then. if it does, it will be the same question we faced last weekend. a lot of people were intransit when the executive order first came down. so there will be a lot of questions about their status. >> without peeling back all the layers and getting too wonky in legal speak, what do you think the next steps of administration are going to be? >> there will be briefed filed today and tomorrow. the ninth circuit could rule as soon as monday. depending on who loses, that case could go to the supreme court quite quickly. it could be monday. it could be later in the week. i think this will all develop at a fast pace in the next couple of days. >> if th
