nbc 10's katey zachary is live on scene. we also know police are questioning a witness. what else do we know about that? >> reporter: tracy, that's some new information we have. we do know for sources that a man was taken into custody this morning. here is what he told police. he told police he was hiding here in a closet in a home when the shooting happened so he would not be scene. investigators are trying to learn who came to this oxford circle home around 11:30 last night and killed two women inside. they found a wheelchair bound woman shot in the head on the first floor. and another woman shot in the head laying in the up stairs hallway. it is closed to traffic. now, police do not know a lot right now. they're admitting that to us. what they do know, they at least believe the two victims involved both live at this address. this is new information we learned from police sources this morning, that they found a weapon inside the home. coming up in the next half-hour we're getting more information on that weapon. we're hearing the swat team is coming out, and we'll lear

nbc 10's katey zachary is live at gerard university which is known for a very impressive turnout. 20 years and counting. >> reporter: this is the largest mlk service project in the country. why? because later this morning in just a few hours 5,000 volunteers are going to walk into this gym na gym nasem to distribute food, clothing and other items for people in need. what's different this year is the theme. it honors dr. king's poor peoples campaign. that means there's an emphasis this year on getting food, clothing and other important items to the needy. there's also a job fair with hundreds of potential jobs for people out of work. the mayor will take part along with the governor and pennsylvania senator bob casey. the events organizer tells me they're seeing more volunteers this year. >> it's an incremental kind of increase. for some it serves as a launch of an effort that will continue throughout the year and engage others in the community. >> reporter: the event organizer you just heard from tells me the goal of this service project today is not just to have people who have the d
