katherine scott is live at the scene in northeast philadelphia. go togood morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam the shooting was caught on store surveillance footage. it was a prearranged meeting so police have a good idea who they are looking for. the scene is in the wal-mart parking lot outside philadelphia mills, formerly franklin mills mall. around 1:00 a.m. a 911 call came in about a shooting victim at holy redeemer hospital shot in the chest the arm and the leg. the victim told the officers where the shooting happened. police arrived at the wal-mart lot and recovered a spent shell casing and broken glass. police say the victim arranged to meet a person who owed him some money. >> the passenger door opened and shots were fired, you can see the muscle flash of the weapon and the shots being fired and the victim's vehicle flee the scene. >> reporter: and the victim was taken by his brother to holy redeemer hospital. he has since been transferred to temperature university hospital and that's where he remains in guarded condition. agai

katherine scott is live at the scene with the latest. it's got to be an icy mess, katherine. of the reasons tam why the water department had to shut down operations getting this off, it was a hazard for the workers who were working around the site trying to turn off this water. the geyser, we're not even that close, if you look it's a couple of blocks away, you can see how it shooting into the air by the tree line there, this is about as close as we can get at this point. it's caused a problem for the workers who have been trying to shut this off. last night workers were at the scene by bluegrass road in northeast philadelphia, trying to get this shut down, but they were running into problem after problem, the water department had to leave the scene due to safety reasons degrees were freezing up and breaking around them from all the water freezing on the branches from the low temperatures. officials say one worker fell and was trapped for a short time. you can see other workers helping him up before he was taken to the hospital to be checked out. this was first reported at 7:

let's go live to katherine scott live on the street, cinnamon street and ridge avenue in roxborough. what it's looking like this morning, katherine? >> reporter: certainly a big improvement from yesterday but the slick spots are out there so you want to keep an eye the out for them as you head out. we're standing at ridge and cinnamon. the sidewalks have been salted and trucks are on the road, as well. yesterday, one man died and 30 injured in a pileup on the schuylkill expressway that involved 60 cars. there was another grizzly scene in radnor township, a tractor-trailer jackknifed, three vehicles crashed underneath it. a drivers of two vehicles died a third suffered major head trauma. last night penndot crews were dispatched to salt the roads ahead of the morning commute and out overnight. tricks are out across the five-county area, drivers are not the only ones to watch out. we spoke to one pedestrian who saw slippery spots and advised others to watch their step. >> take it slow, because you don't see it, it's dangerous ice right there. >> reporter: we're back along ridge avenue, t

katherine scott is live at police headquarters with this katherine. >> reporter: matt, that blee -- employee is 53 years old the police continue to search for the suspect in the case. police were called out to the store it's called prieta market on 1200 east stafford street in germantown. he came in with a white hoodie and ski mask and opened fire. there were several people inside the store including the owner who was behind the counter holding a two-year-old boy. the employee was shot in the face and twice in the thigh. police rushed him to hospital in critical condition. police say it is fortunately nobody else was hit. >> it's a very, very small store, very tight contained area in addition to the shooting victim who was in the store there were five other people inside the store including customers, other employees as well as other than and 2-year-old boy who was behind the counter. and the suspect was last seen running west on the 100 block of stafford if you have any information northwest detectives want to hear from you live at police headquarters, katherine scott channel 6 "action news

katherine scott is live this morning at temple. good morning katherine. >> reporter: and temple will have grief counselors on campus. the 18-year-old woman was student. her name has not been released. police are trying to figure out what happened last evening in center city. this happened around 16th and chestnut around 6:00 p.m. when the 911 calls came in. police arrived two women hurt and lying on the sidewalk. the temple student fell 8 floors and landed on a 44-year-old woman walking below. the teen was rushed to jeff sop hospital where she was pronounced dead. the pedestrian was conscious and talking she had taken to hanheman and treated for neck and back pain. the building is a residents hall for art institute of philadelphia. the temple student was visiting two friends who attend school there. >> we're not shore if the 20-year-old female jumped or fell or any foul play. she may have been leaning out the window or sitting on the ledge, it's about a 2-foot wide ledge, possibly taking some pictures. >> reporter: police did recove

"action news" reporter katherine scott is live in mount laurel with these full details. t now we're awaiting word from the burlington county prosecutor's office as to whether any charges were filed against kyle crosby overnight but we do know that crosby was taken here last night to mount laurel police headquarters after being picked up in brooklawn where he is right now is unclear. investigators had been trying to locate the 27-year-old to question him again about his wife's disappearance about two weeks ago. sources told "action news" that he had been hanging out in camden doing drugs with a prostitute since last wednesday. his wife, erica crippen mother of two daughters had been missing from her mount laurel home since december 31st. kyle crosby had told police his wife left him and that he didn't know where she was but relatives didn't believe it and wanted him to be questioned again. last night when police tried to stop him while he was driving his wife's red ford taurus they said he tried to flee. a chase ensued but they caught him. now family members are hoping he

. >> katherine scott is live at the scene at bluegrass road and grant avenue. good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam crews are trying to shut this done but they are running into all sorts of problems, ten hours later water is shooting into the air. i know it's dark, but you can see it by the trees over there. last night workers were out at the scene by blue grass road in northeast philadelphia trying to get the water turned off but they were met with challenge after challenge eventually the water department had to leave the scene due to safety reasons treegz were freezing up and breaking around them in the low temperatures which of course was a hazard for the workers in the dark. one worker fell and was trapped for a short time. the water department received word of this around 7:00 p.m. the fire department said this is a private ten inch main not connected to the philadelphia water department. there's no reports of anyone losing water service in the area. workers expected back here when it gets lighter. they have multiple concerns. >> concern wi

katherine scott has the details. >> reporter: good morning tam that's right two additional hepatitis a cases have been confirmed in hamilton township. one an employee at a hair salon and the other part-time fitness instructor. health officials want to get the word out, if you visited this location and others during a block of time in december you may be at risk. the instructor works at the ymca in hamilton township. new jersey athletic club and the social mercer county bored of social services. the other person works at hair port in hamilton township. anyone who visited those locations between december 4 and december 31 may be at risk for hepatitis a. it's rarely fatal but it's highly contagious. symptoms are nausea, lakes and diarrhea. hamilton township hosted a help title a vaccination clinic at a local fire house. the original case was from rosa a popular restaurant. both cases reported eating food in november, while the restaurant worker was employed there. but health officials state they cannot say if the two new cases are a direct result of the original case. the two new patien

katherine scott is live on a this scene in northeast philadelphia. good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam this shooting was caught on store surveillance foot annual. this was a prearranged meeting so police have a good idea who they are looking for. the victim is in the hospital in guarded condition. the shooting happened 75 feet from the front entrance of the wal-mart philadelphia mills mall formally known always franklin mills. 911 call came in about a shooting victim at holy redeemer hospital shot three times in the chest, the arm and the leg. the victim told officers where the shooting happened. when police arrived at the wal-mart lot they recovered a spent shell casing and broken glass. the victim had ranged to meet a person who owed him money. the gunman shot the victim who was sitting in the passenger seat of the car the shooter fled. the store was open and police say it is lucky there were not more injuries. >> when the shooting took place, the wal-mart was open for business. there are cars 234-9d parking lot and several -- in

katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >>> one person was arrested after a police chase that ended in a crash in delaware county. it started in tilikum township at 10:30 this morning and ended on chester pike near cherry street in collingdale. the driver of the minivan was trying to elude police and officers found one weapon and drugs at the crash site. >>> u.s. marshals announced the capture of tam lee, he is wanted for the murders of two brothers from paoli authorities say he stabbed three men and bound their bodies and dumped them in the schuylkill river in august and one victim miraculously survived and lee was on the most wanted fugitives list. >>> an officer accidentally shot him down during a raid this morning it happened about an hour ago on the unit block of freedom court police were raiding a home when the gun accidentally went off. police will not say what led to the raid but several people were take and into custody and children were removed from the home. >>> one school closed their doors today because too many children were out sick. the principal of nazareth grade sc
