katherine scott is in port richmond with more on that angle. >> reporter: good morning, tam you can see the police barricades are still up in the neighborhood. ntsb has released the site to amtrak. ntsb has started to interview passengers on the train and they are planning to interview the engineer in the coming days as they work to determine the cause of the fatal crash. this video shows the train moments before the crash. federal investigators say it was speeding up from 70 miles per hour to more than one hundred when it should have been slowing down. the engineer applied the brakes before the curve. >> seconds into the turn we could see the train tilting approximately ten degrees to the right and then the recording went blank. >> reporter: so far the investigators have not found problems with the track, signal or locomotive. 32-year-old engineer was in the front of the hitech engine. on the left the thodle handle to in-- throttle handle to increase speed. on the lcd scene a speedometer that would tell him how was -- how fast he was going. there is no sign to show reduce speed ahead l

. >> our team coverage continues with "action news" reporter katherine scott live at temple university hospital where the most seriously injured victims are still being treated. >> reporter: sara, the hospital triaged patients here last night, the most severely hurt got treated first and some went straight to the operating room. there are 11 people across area hospitals in critical condition and eight of them are here at temple. we know that one person died overnight at temple university hospital and we don't know their identity but that had massive chest injuries. >> we attempted to resuscitate the victim but could not be revised. >> the accident sent 200 people to local hospitals. >> the train tilted over and rolled. victims started to arrive at 10:00 p.m. and 55 were taken here in all and extra surgeons and nurses were called in the patients that were awake and talking were mainly sitting in the last two cars, they said it was chaotic and difficult and the folks i talked to were injured because people fell on them or things fell on them in the train. >> those with lesser injuries co

katherine scott is live at the scene in kensington. catherine. >> reporter: sarah the fire department said the victims did not have any advance warning they did not find any working smoke detecters inside the buildings. three people jumped from the upper floors to escape the intense heat. one of the people died from his injuries. >> i was sleeping i heard someone screaming throw the baby out the window. >> reporter: panic at this kensington buildings around 6:15 as the fire spread. >> no lights, no alarm. we just heard people saying fire fire. >> reporter: the flames were feelers, the smoke thick as the fire advanced residents looked for wayses to escape the building on the 3200 block of kensington avenue. some crawled out windows to the back room. >> i opened the door, black smoke was pouring in. >> reporter: by the time firefighters arrived three people had jumped from the you meaner floors. firefighters rescued three people including a young child. >> they put her out the window and they put the ladder, they grabbed her and ran down

katherine scott is on the scene with dramatic video. >> reporter: good morning, tam this was caught on camera, the driver was in stable condition 22 years old taken to the hospital for injuries. no one else was injured in the neighborhood but his car is a wreck and three parked cars were hit, as well. when this collision happened early this morning in tacony on the 4300 block of unrue. a tow traumatic is on the way to clean up the mess. the car lost control and slammed into the impala, flipped over and into the a pick up truck. a passenger collects something and takes off. 22-year-old driver stayed at the scene. the driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition, he had injuries to his neck, held and back. two of the cars that were hit belonged to the same family. they heard the crash and and they realized it was captured on surveillance video. >> he hit that car and pushed it over to the sidewalk and flipped. >> and back here live, you can see the honda accord is in the middle of the street. flipped over there's broken glass, pieces of the car strewn across the street. the drive

katherine scott was in court this morning and joins us in center city with new information. >> reporter: this was a packed courtroom packed with officers and packed with family members, they left now and we know that the defendants waived their preliminary hearing and the prosecutors summarized the evidence they will present some witnesses for this trial. lets go to video from this morning from the family of that sergeant leaving the courthouse this morning they were in the courtroom when prosecutors summarized evidence and the witnesses they would call. they are accused of shooting sergeant wilson at a game stop in march with six shots. the video shows them firing at wilson and 39 shots were fired in all. wilson was promoted to sarge and awarded the medal of honor and valor. they avoided going lieu all the evidence including the video. prosecutors say the evidence is overwhelming multiple shots are exchanged and police officer wilson is in the corner and there are multiple civilians hiding down avoiding the gun fire and officer wilson returns fire with these individuals. >> the video i
