"action news" reporter katherine scott is live outside northwest detectives with the full story. morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning matt. this victim was stabbed shot, assaulted and robbed. he remains in critical condition at the hospital. there were several witnesses. they were taken here to northwest detectives to be interviewed as police searched for three people they believe are behind this. they don't have that much of a description but the victim told them that it was two men and one woman that did this to him. this happened in the logan section of the city at sixth and somerville around 11:30 last night. northwest detectives were on the scene investigating for hours collecting evidence. when police got there, they found a man on the sidewalk. he had stab wounds in his back. he was shot at least once in his side. he also had some puncture marks in his face. police rushed him to the hospital. >> while en route to einstein hospital, he was conscious and told responding officers that he was robbed and assaulted and shot. he said that his watch his wallet and cell pho

katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that. new this morning a judge has sealed parts of surveillance video of a deadly ambush shooting, the video was the shown at a preliminary hearing for eric frein. authorities are seeking the death penalty for the september attack that killed brian dixon and wounded alex douglass. the judge sided with prosecutors to say the video should be sealed to prevent traumatizing the victim and their families. >>> two men on the run are behind bars and face a federal judge today. they were arrested in northeast philadelphia and south philadelphia last night. they are accused of being accomplices to gay who was taken into custody days after the april 4th attack. the police say they kidnapped the woman and beat her when she didn't know the codes for the store safe. >> the victim suffered but survived a brutal horrific assault. she was stunned repeatedly with a taser and beaten and thrown out of the abductors' van. the gang dumped the victim at mount laurel cemetary in darby borough where she got help.

katherine scott has more details. good morning katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam police are hoping that the man will turn himself in. they are working with his girlfriend. she is cooperating with them as he they try to bring a guy in who left a 3-year-old in the car with a gun. police swarmed the area in upper darby after a traffic stop led to a chase in delaware county. the driver ditched his car leaving a 3-year-old boy and a gun inside. >> they left the kid in the car. >> reporter: it all began at 7:00 p.m. between 67 and locust. police pulled over a chevy impala that a emblem blocking the license plate. the driver fled. the driver was running behind an apartment complex when police returned to the car they spotted the little boy in the back seat and handgun in plain view in the front. >> the 3-year-old kid has good motor skills we're fortunate he did not pick the gun up it's not holstered, it's clearly loaded at this point. >> reporter: police were out searching for the man, if you have any tips they want t

katherine scott is live in chestnut hill with more details on the disappearance of sarah wills. >> reporter: well, matt, police have expanded their search area and with daylight more officers will be called in. you can see along germantown avenue there's a crime scene unit part of the response from the missing teen overnight. let's go to a picture of the girl police are looking for it was taken yesterday 17-year-old sarah wills 5'," 155 pounds, long brown hair wearing marine hatter top and blue shorts. they were on their way back to upper dublin driving along the 7600 block of germantown avenue in chestnut hill when she told her daughter she didn't feel well and had to relieve herself. she went into the woods and didn't come back. overnight, k-9 unit were called in, s.w.a.t teams and she has not turned up. >> she left cell phone in the car before she exited the car so we can't call her. we contacted male friends as well as female friends as well as other family members and no one knows where this female is. >> reporter: again police have been searching the wooded area throughout the night.

katherine scott is live on the scene where their homes and belongings suffered damage. >> reporter: 80 people are out of their homes two people were taken to the hospital. the windows at the stafford court apartments are boarded up. there's debris on the front lawn after a fire that appears to have started in the downstairs storage unit. smoke filled the buildings thursday evening. the fire started at 7:00 p.m. on the unit block of north landsdown avenue. residents watched as the flames spread. >> within two minutes there were flames on the bottom coming out of the basement and five minutes later they were on the third floor. >> reporter: 911 calls and smoke detection system alerted the fire department. animal control was there to revive injured pellets. this man was checking -- injured pets. this man was checking on a friend who was taken to the hospital. fire crews worked in tandem the extreme heat caused them to stop and cool down. >> the bulk of the fire was from the storage area in the basement which is up off the ground. when the original companies arrived they found fire shootin

let's go over to katherine scott live at the state police barracks in skippack she's got the latest. good morning catherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam we're hoping to learn more details as it gets later but again, one suspect was taken into custody after an armed robbery. the suspect's car was towed to the pennsylvania state police barracks in skippack. let's go to the video of the suspect's car after it was loaded on to the flat bed truck. it's all smashed up. it started around midnight in reading. the state police responded to an armed robbery. the suspect took off it ended at mango road in royersford. police tried to stop the suspect, in the end the suspect was taken into custody one trooper had a minor injury and we're told no state troopers vehicles were damaged in all this. it all remains under the investigation. so far the name of the suspect has not been released, but again, we are told that one suspect has been taken into custody after a high-speed chase, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> a natural gas pipeline ruptured in south texas last night sparking this

katherine scott spent the morning on the scene and has this report. >> reporter: this is is a very serious accident, 6 vehicles were involved in the crash and 6 people taken to the hospital after the accident on 73 that shut down the northbound lanes for hours. a violent six-car crash in winslow township. you can see major damage to multiple damages. a ford 5250 smashed into a car. one child was strapped into car seat in the back. she was airlifted to cooper university hospital with life threatening injuries, four others were taken to vertua. >> there was a child involved in the crash she was airlifted to cooper, her mother went by ground ambulance. >> reporter: a heavily damaged mini cooper faced the wrong way. a person was trapped in that vehicle. all of the vehicles were driving in the northbound lanes of 73 near haze mill road. accident investigators spent hours collecting evidence. >> very early into it, we don't know what caused the pick up truck to hit the opener vehicles. >> reporter: we are expecting police to release more information about the accident later on today. katherine s

katherine scott is live with more on how local churches are increasing security. >> reporter: security is a challenge for churches. they want knew members but there's a danger associated with that. a lot of churches like this one in west philadelphia have beefed up security, some measures are noticeable some not. thousands of people come through the doors each month at west philadelphia calvary baptist church. >> we must open the door and accept people in, the difficulty is that some of the same people because of their belief systems may come to do hard. >> reporter: security is part of today's reality even in a house of worship. in the recent years they enhanced security measures. >> we have rotating security, but we have people who are trained in security systems. >> reporter: surveillance cameras are posted around the building. trained staff members or volunteers many of whom have military backgrounds or currently work in law enforcement. >> the whole concept is to get new faces to come in, which is different than how you would secure a building or business or church. >> reporter: c
