meteorologist kathy orr is live on the sky deck tracking some changes in the form of cooler temperatures, kathy. >> we have cooler temperatures, we will have some wind and it will get dreary around here, but again a little bit of the roller coaster ride of sorts. today was a beauty. i hope you enjoyed it. high temperature in philadelphia 77 degrees. normally we are at 69 for this time of the year. so soaring well above average. right now temperatures still mild in the 70's, 60's in the poconos. 66 degrees in wildwood. the atlantic city airport at 75. this evening temperature stay at 07 by 7:00p m. if you want to run go for a walk, it will be beautiful. 9:00 o'clock 65. sixty-two at 11:00 p.m. all eyes on this coastal low that stays to the south and east of us but another system will join it and keep it damp and cool for at least the the next couple of days. we will talk about that of course with the seven day forecast. we're talking about much cooler weather isolated showers but then in the seven day, chasing 80 degrees. this time it is a summer-like pattern that will stick. we will talk

meteorologist kathy orr is on the sky deck with the first forecast. >> jessica, wind has pick up. we are talking about wind gusting to 30, 35 miles an hour and late this afternoon it seems to be swirling on the sky deck. those wind will continue. right now temperatures are around the region and steady in the 60's with the exception of the poconos. a lot of mixing in the atmosphere with these windy conditions and that is why we have had steady temperatures. our wind are more southeasterly right now. philadelphia is sustained at 21 miles an hour. that is the high of the the day as far as sustained wind or sustained at 15 in the poconos, 16 in atlantic city which much higher gusts. storm scan three you can see clear skies right now some showers to the west, they will die after sunset, and we are looking at an area of low pressure over the great lakes and that continues to spin bringing in the threat of showers, and during the day tomorrow, even some thunder showers. the these are going to be diurnal in nature and what that means is morning cloud increase, by noon, we will be seeing s

kathy orr staning by in the weather center. it's been very busy night kathy and not over yet. >>> chris and jess, really just beginning in our region. that tornado watch extended through the region until midnight. talk now threat of severe weather continuing with two lines of storms. you saw those pictures of hail from state college this is line of storms that was to the west now moving eastward not severe but a lot of lightning hail and torrential downpours associate with his line. i want to draw your attention down here up the i-95 corridor these storms originated in the ball more washington area. not severe but we are talking about flooding, we're talking about hail and we're talking about damaging winds even though these aren't officially severe we'll track these storms toward the northeast at 35 miles an hour and at that speed, they will be in chester by 11:06. philadelphia by 11:30. cam by 11:36 and in cherry hill, new jersey by 11:53. so you have the heavy rain, you have the gusty winds. you have the potential for hail an

meteorologist kathy orr is bundle up outside on the sky deck on a cold night that comes with a warningkathy? >> absolutely. we're talking about subfreezing temperatures. widespread across the delaware valley chris. temperatures bottom out tonight before we can rise. take a look at what we're looking at overnight. we have a clear sky that's one of the ingredients will go into the cold overnight tonight. we also have winds that have diminish that's the good news. winds are just about calm through the lehigh valley. 13 miles per hour sustained right now in philadelphia. but generally between about five and 10 miles an hour across the region. so it's clear, it's calm and temperatures are going to plunge that freeze warning in effect throughout most of the region highlighted in purple a frost advisory for philadelphia and with this we do expect temperatures to be between about 27 and 32 degrees come tomorrow morning and that freeze warning area. so please protect those early season plants and also of course your pets. as far as temperatures come tomorrow morning, heading out the door if you
