i'm kathy sabin where it is warm. we do have mostly cloudy skies everybody wondering about the perseid meteor showers, we will see them when it peaks at moon set at 1:02 a.m. skies do look like they may clear between one and four a.m. up to 200 meteors per hour is the potential late tonight and tomorrow. this night, a brief sprinkle and thunder and lightning and the rain has stopped just as soon as it has started. temperatures in mid-80s. beautiful at the loveland ski actually 89 degrees. a little bit cooler then the 90s. winds east at 8 and calm winds in the backyard and rain coming to an end in the downtown area. tracking showers in the foothills and not holding and a cool front coming. across the gulf coast region with the system that spins moving towards the west bringing heavy rain from jacksonville and memphis and in the houston area where the rain shield will continue inland tomorrow. tropical monsoons continue from el paso and tomorrow is a smidge dryer. the front dropping south will usher in a cooler air mass
