katie marzullo has the breaking news. >>> the c.h.p. made quick work of this saying they are understaffed and they wanted to get it cleared before the commute. if there is any silver lining it is for people headed northbound on 101 because the scene is cleared and traffic is moving along quickly. i got an update from c.h.p. about what happened starting after 2:30 that a motorcyclist hit the back of a big rig and i can tell you it was a double trailer as fault truck and possibly the motorcyclist was trying to pass the truck and slammed into the back it and the motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle on to the road and that is when other cars became involved. >> the rider of the motorcycle was left in the road and there were several vehicles inadvertently that came into contact with the body. whether contributed to his death, we don't know. >> the victim has not been identified and we know he has hispanic man between 25 and 30 years ago and witnesses say that he was speeding, possibly going up to 100 miles per hour so at this point c.
