katie, let me start with you. what did you think of that response from the president in that sound bite? >> well, it came after the president's first response to this horrific situation when he talked about ice cream at the white house during his first remarks about this situation. so i think it shows that he's clearly more interested in scoring political points rather than bringing people in washington together to do something as he has been saying for a couple days. president joe biden ran and has been framed by the media as an empathetic figure, the consoler in chief. seems like he's not interested in looking at the facts here because josh hawley, a republican, has demanded that the justice department treat this situation like other situations would just by default be treated. you can't tell me that if someone went into a synagogue or a mosque and killed six people, three of them including children, that this wouldn't be buy default considered a hate crime. it's a pretty basic standard. so, you know, the presid
